PUBLIC EXHIBITIONS AND CONSULTATIONS MATERIAL

I worked with architects, project managers,

planning consultants, corporate design, press

office and graphic designer to produce foam

boards, newspaper advertisement, flyers,

posters and banners, Q&A and feedback form. I

also created an online exhibition with a voting

and feedback mechanism.

FACILITIES/BUILDING COLLATERAL

I worked with project and facilities managers

and related stakeholders (IT, AV, room booking,

catering, faculty and student services) and

graphic designer to produce building maps and

guides for building users, and a simple, door

handle hanging guide for room air and

temperature comfort.

I worked with HR, Head of Residences,

Press Office and Internal Comms to

create this consultation document and a

suite of documents to explain the

changes to staff. I did the same for the

Security guarding outsourcing

consultation.

AWARDS SUBMISSIONS

I produced award entries by checking

award criteria, searching out facts and

figures, quotes and photos to

demonstrate the team’s work, and

organised the text around the criteria.

CASE STUDY + AWARDS SUBMISSION

I gathered facts and challenged ideas to

support this review, editing and

collaborating with partner organisation

and public relations supplier. Tracked

usage through follow-on stories and

awards.

The challenge was to explain this extremely

complex programme of work simply, but to

convey the complexity so the client would

understand the amount of planning and work

involved and therefore not attempt to make

changes to the works after agreement was

reached. This required extensive liaison with

multiple stakeholders in the project.

This was part of a multi-channel

communication activity that included

dedicated web pages with team and contact

information, tips on packing and what to do,

testimonials, and news and updates. I also

used suppliers to create a ‘flick’ booklet that

explained the programme briefly and pointed

to the web pages.

FACILITIES POSTERS

I implemented standard College

templates for notices and commissioned

dedicated templates to communicate

work taking place and potential

disruption.

I created this guide and trained Service

Desk and project managers to use these

templates.

HOARDINGS

As part of the poster design process, I

worked with a designer to create larger

scale posters for use as hoardings where

larger projects were taking place behind

hoardings.

In this case I sourced historic information

and photos from Archive, and renderings

and finishes from Architects.

TWITTER

IMPLEMENTATION

I worked with Service

Desk Manager to ensure

the behind the scenes

processes were thought

through and sought

advice on how to manage

the account.

I sought to enhance and

protect our brand and

help our staff feel

comfortable by making

our objectives clear, give

examples what NOT to

post, and how to handle

abuse.

I worked with Corporate

Design to create the

homepage and avatar –

the first directorate in the

College to do so and

setting the standard.

STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT

I introduced stakeholder management with this tool for

identifying stakeholders and their needs or our

requirements for them.

This was used in local projects as well as collaborations

such as Science Gallery London at King’s.

I created a simplified version for smaller projects.

I used a similar template in Ministry of Justice

Procurement.
