COURSE EXIT SURVEY

Reflections: In this semester , I have got an Average feedback because some

students were non cooperative and also with less communication and this feed back was taken in the middle of the semester. But now their mind set have changed completely and even I have heard from my students that they had attempted the exam very well out of all of their exams.I feel this was possible only because of the activities which I have done in the class room.

•  Think – Pair – Share : I have done this activity in the class multiple times.

Implementation:

I gave the topic in class and I ask them to think once and discuss with their peers and I ask them to share with in the class. First week and second week the activity is not success but later students are motivated and they start thinking and sharing with their friends.

STAG ACTIVITY

•  I divided the students into groups be of 4 to 5 that are a heterogeneous mixture of ability, gender and so on.

•  After giving the purposeful presentation with objectives, the material to be learned ,focus on specific information, and the group/students can study the information of their choice

•  The groups must understand and know that their task together is to master the material, not to just be able to fill out a worksheet.

•  The goal of the team is that every one in the group masters the material and helps each other.

FLIPPING: The main Resources were used in my flipped class room are

presentations in the form of PPT and animation videos.

The main aim of presentation in my flipped class room is to engage multiple learning styles and also we can increase students focus and I explained multiple examples by Providing annotations and highlights

Animation videos are major back bone for my class because I explained with the help of video that how to communicate the data from one system to other system.

IMPLEMENTATION PLAN:

First of all, I started my class by showing the video for particular concept and I asked the core objective from that video.

And I explained how technology is rapidly growing from simplest to deepest and I completed my introduction in the video and I asked some real-time questions.

I uploaded some documents about inter process communication and I asked them to review the documents before coming to class.

I implemented my flipped activity for more than 2 hrs because of

students activeness they have shown, enthusiasm & concentrated about the topic.

some students have answered to all my questions because of documents which I had uploaded before the class and people who answered have reviewed before the class and they asked lot of questions in the class .

At last I created one lesson plan for the activity and shared the

complete lesson plan to the students

BENEFITS:

Flipped classroom is one of the most effective activities and beneficial for the students.

It is modern learning environment where students can learn new

content on their own by watching video lectures or other online resources . I Spent my class time differently Instead of normal class and it is a

great way to change up my teaching style.

REFLECTION But while doing this activity I found different types of issues that

students who doesn't have access to a computer and Internet in order to view the lectures.

` I tried this activity multiple times but I failed in the process because it is completely depends on students participation and interaction.

Finally my conclusion is flipped class room is more effective, hands-on approach to improving student achievement and involving them in their own education.

EFFECTIVE ASSESSMENT Ø  Assessment can be one of the most difficult aspects of teaching. Ø  Assessments have a strong effect on the lives and careers of Students. Ø  Decisions taken within and by college influence the prospects and opportunities

of their pupils and of even greater importance are their results of internal examinations.

Ø  In my opinion assessments are best suited to guide improvements in student

learning are the quizzes, tests, writing assignments, and other assessments that teachers administer on a regular basis in their classrooms.

QUESTION 1 Key points should include…

An OLTP database is designed to support low-level, day-to-day transactional data with a view to satisfying the core business activities by junior to mid-level staff. By contrast, a data warehouse is all about long-term strategic decision making by senior management. The data warehouse is commonly defined by four attributes: subject-oriented (customer, product etc.), integrated (uniform data drawn from multiple sources), time-variant (historical data means a series of snapshots of data over a time period) and non-volatile (data is always added, often aggregated and usually not deleted or modified). An OLTP database will, for efficiency reasons, not hold historical data and is application/business-oriented (customer invoicing etc.) It is the difference between a low-level routine transaction-focus and a high-level ad-hoc, analysis focus. Quality diagrams and clear examples gain bonus marks.

QUESTION 2 OLAP (On-Line Analytical Processing) is the dynamic synthesis, analysis and consolidation of large volumes of aggregated multi-dimensional data. Key features include aggregation, time-series analysis, drill-down queries, highly complex ‘what if’ and ‘why’ type queries across multiple views of the data over extended time periods. Applications could include budgeting and financial modeling, sales analysis & forecasting, market research etc. The better students may go onto discuss Codd’s twelve rules for OLAP tools, the different categories of OLAP – MOLAP, ROLAP and HOLAP (multi-dimensional, relational and hybrid respectively) including a brief discussion of the key features of each. Finally, a few comments on OLAP extensions to SQL could be included such as the ROLLUP and CUBE functions and RANK, DENSE_RANK functions and ‘windowing’ calculations on aggregates.

Multi-Dimensional Data begins with the traditional two-dimensional relational table before moving onto three-dimensional data cubes and, logically, four dimensions and more with each cell in the ‘cube’ representing sales figures. To maintain acceptable query performance as the number of dimensions rises, ‘rolled-up’ or pre-computed data may be stored that in turn may be drilled down for finer detail as to years but drilled down to quarters, months, weeks and even days worth of sales). Data may also be ‘sliced & diced’. The role of dense/sparse data in different cells and the role of data compression could be covered.

How to finish the syllabus in short semesters or final year students ? Now I finished my syllabus in the last semester for final years just.
