projects around the world.

district!!

MEET MY FRIEND JOSEPH!He is 12 years old and studies at Uwa

Primary School.

“My school used to be in a bad condition. The toilets were in bad shape, the classroom floors were broken and the kitchen was very

basic, it was made of mud and timber. Childreach International has constructed a

kitchen and toilets and renovated the classrooms so now I study in a good

environment. When I grow up I want to be a doctor, as I want to save lives”.

MEET MY FRIEND LALJI!Lalji is 12 and has been a Balsena member

that I can learn and it gave me the opportunity to join the Savings Bank. I am saving up for a bicycle; I know it will take

some time! I’ve celebrated many festivals, such as the Kite Flying festival and Diwali. I’ve made lots of new friends and I would

My SCHOOL My VOICEA day in the life of Fatima!

Wake up: 5.30am to help her mother with the domestic

chores 7am: Make breakfast for herself and her 4 siblings

Day time: Unfortunately, Fatima doesn’t go to school,

as it is taught in Arabic; a language she doesn’t

understand.

She helps her mother with some of the farming on their land, and she often takes the

goats for grazing in the mountain, with her brother. She also sometimes helps out at

the local women’s cooperative, where her mother and other
