MAP OFSOUTHEAST ASIA
THAILAND & MALASIA
The islands of Thailand and Malaysia are worlds away.
They are bursting with unique culture and fascinating
traditions, all the while being in the heart of paradise.
Heavenly blue waters surround these islands like a
halo to the sun. The land rises up gloriously, each inch
vibrantly overgrown with flowers and trees.
Exotic animals roam, tropical fish splash, and PRINCESS
IOLANTHE wants you to be a part of the splendor.
Life and luxury is at your fingertips here. There is no
limit to the beauty you will see and the grandeur
that will take you there.
SUGGESTED ITINERARY
PHUKETThe island of Phuket is blossoming into one of the
world’s most desired locations. The turquoise waters of
the Andaman Sea wrap themselves around this island’s
one-of-a-kind charm as well as its five-star hotels and
restaurants. Art Village will present you with unique
paintings from quirky and talented locals. Have a cocktail
at the infinity pool bar at Anantara Phuket before heading
to a wine tasting in their hypnotically lit cellar. Go to the
White Box Restaurant for a trendy Thai-Mediterranean
meal in architectural splendor. Drive down Millionaire
Mile and choose Surin Beach as your spot of leisure.
Lay upon golden sands while azure water splashes
up to kiss your toes.
PHI PHIPicture-perfect Ko Phi Phi is Thailand’s superstar. It is
the haven you envision when decide to come to south-
east Asia. Mountains of greenery and rock rise up from
the cerulean sea like towers over cities. Take a tender
and weave in and out of these shapes with style
and grace. Speed over to Maya Bay where Thailand’s
notorious beach parties come to life in the most
mesmerizing way. This beach is so bewitching,
Hollywood filmmakers had a hard time leaving.
SIMILANA national park and part of the Similan Islands, Ko Techai
makes up part of what is known as Thailand’s Maldives.
Having just been announced for tourism a few years ago,
Koh Techai is an Eden-on-earth, above and below the
sea. Scuba diving and snorkeling bring you beauty be-
yond the beach. The exotic fish and wildly vibrant colors
are hypnotic. Keep an eye out for Manta Rays and Ea-
gle Rays and you will see something truly extraordinary.
MERGUI ISLANDSEight hundred islands make up the Mergui archipelago
of Burma. Many of them are unpopulated, untouched,
and incredible. The tranquil waters are dotted with Sea
Gypsies diving, fishing, and bartering. The Sea Gypsies,
also known as the “Morken”, are people who are ex-
perts in all that is aquatic. Their villages are a sight of won-
der and if you are lucky, they may show you some tricks
of their trade. Along with the magic of caves and tropi-
cal forests, these islands are a real-world Neverland.
ANDAMAN ISLANDS & NICOBAROver 500 islands fuse their magnificence and mystery to
shape the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. A heritage of in-
digenous tribes and colonial rule threads an interesting
culture throughout. Most of the islands are unpopulated,
but others are home to some of the world’s most tradi-
tional tribes. Make your way to Havelock Island to stroll a
stretch of sand known as Radhanagar Beach. Join the
elephants bathing in the lagoon and your trip will be com-
plete. Stay for the sunset to witness the sky blaze red
before it becomes peppered by twinkling celestial
diamonds. The Andaman and Nicobar islands sparkle as
bright as the stars above head; they are the gems of
the Bay of Bengal.
KOH BUTANGKoh Butang has no inhabitants and no infrastructure,
making this island a total oasis. It may be small, but it
boasts huge beauty in the waters around it. Grab your
snorkel gear and prepare yourself to be awed and in-
spired. Swimming over these coral gardens is like fly-
ing over an enchanted utopia. Corals rise up like steeples
and exotic fish bustle in between. You will not see
this beauty matched anywhere else in the ocean, so
take your time and let the sea creatures show you
the way.
LANGKAWILangkawi is the exciting main island of a striking 99-is-
land archipelago on Malaysia’s west coast. Retreat from
the crystalline waters onto the pearly sands, then onward
into the lush jungle to find paddy fields within. Before you
island hop from one sanctuary to the next, you must
take a cable car ride up to the Langkawi Sky Bridge. It
is one of the world’s best viewing platforms, reaching
from one dense mountaintop to another, over a jaw-
dropping gorge. Get yourself grounded again at Pantai
Pasir Hitam, otherwise known as Black Beach. The
opaque shoreline is something you haven’t wandered
before.
