Jamie's Italian will open in Melrose Arch, on The High Street in 2016.
A partnership between Jamie Oliver and his Italian mentor, Chef Gennaro Contaldo, Jamie’s Italian has won thousands of fans all over the world for its delicious and affordable food, friendly service and buzzing atmosphere. The menu is full of rustic, Italian-inspired dishes with a Jamie twist, including bowls of beautiful pasta that’s made fresh on site every day. The contract for the Melrose Arch premises has been concluded with a view to open doors in the latter part of the year and further locations are being explored
across South Africa, with news to share soon. Built to showcase Jamie's belief in good quality, honest, innovative and properly sourced food, all of the produce used will be sustainable with very high welfare standards.

Security is a priority for us and we stay proactive in our endeavours to minimize the security risk at Melrose Arch.
Responding to our surrounding environment, we’ve increased our security initiatives and activities to counteract
external threats to safety.
This is in addition to security patrols, 24/7 CCTV monitoring, perimeter fencing and our street and basement
guards who ensure the safety of the residents and public who move through our beautiful precinct.
We’ve increased our guard dog patrols at night and introduced a multifunctional platform which includes vehicle
number plate recognition, among other capabilities.

To combat crime as best possible, we also interact
with the SAPS as well the Organised Crime Unit to
ensure we have up-to-the-minute information.
In addition, we’ll be adding gates to our entrances,
to improve managed access and egress when
appropriate.
As a privately-managed precinct, we also
undertake the upkeep of the urban fabric, including
the roads, pavements, bollards, street furniture,
lighting, traffic and, of course,
any additional activities agreed to be necessary,
including ensuring an environment that supports
quality living and property values.
