From the Messy Desk of Fr. Rob

Dear Parishioners: It has been a busy week from digging out of a winter storm to beginning the Season of Lent with the celebra-tion of Ash Wednesday Masses. Thank you to Kevin Sears, Seth and Mandy McAlarney, and Mike Tinnel for shoveling snow and clearing the sidewalks this past Tuesday evening. While Fridays during Lent are meatless for Catholics, we are blessed to have Lenten Friday Fish Fry’s! Thank you to the members of the Knights of Columbus and the St. Thomas Women’s Club who will be preparing and serving up fried fish sandwich, steak fries, coleslaw, and homemade desserts each Friday during Lent. All meals will be served to take home. The drive thru ser-vice will begin at 5pm in the St. Thomas the Apostle Church parking lot. Next Saturday, February 27, St. Thomas will be hosting a gathering for men of the parish to participate in the E6 Men’s Conference. There will be opportunities to listen to catholic speakers as well as time for prayer and confession. Lunch will be provided. Please consid-er joining me and other men from our parish for this Lenten gathering, beginning at 8:30am and lasting to 3:30pm. Happy Lent! Fr. Rob

Dear Families,

This year, Dynamic Catholic is offering the invitation to have our “Best Lent Ever.” This free experience is available by visiting their website, https://www.dynamiccatholic.com/lent and signing up. Each day you will receive an email with a short video reflection. This year, “Best Lent Ever” will be based on the book I Heard God Laugh, which we received at Christmas. If you didn’t get a copy of the book we have plenty available on the table in the hall. Rice Bowls can be found in two places this year. There will

be a stack of them on the table in the hall, as well as on the

bulletin board across from the RE office. Once yours is full,

please return it to either the Parish or the RE office.

During this season of Lent, the RE office is teaming up with

our catechists and our students to create a new bulletin

board: 40 days of gratitude. Our catechists and students

have been asked to submit something that they are grate-

ful for. Each day during Lent, a new item of gratitude will

be revealed. Please be sure to stop by the bulletin board

often to see what our catechists and students share.

Peace,

Leah
