Trafalgar Square

Trafalgar Square is a public space and tourist attraction. This is the first location we went to for the My London project. The weather was great and we were all so excited to be in this new vibrant city. We did some sketches, danced to a street performer, listened to bagpipe music, said hello to a hobo and enjoyd being tourists for a day.

Covent GardenCovent Garden is famous for its shops, bars, restaurants, theatres, the street performers and the Royal Opera House. We had heard a lot of great things about Covent Garden, however when we got there we were'nt to impressed be-cause it was very commercialised

Carnaby StreetCarnaby street is one of the famous and buy shop-ping streets in London. It is home to numerous fashion and lifestyle retailers. When our group went there it was like walking into a small trendy village away from the huge building and busy street of the centre. Although this is a very commercialised area it still holds a lot of small butiques and interesting vintage boutiques. The difference in fashion is also very noticeable.

Green Park The Green Park area is filled with luxury brands and independent boutiques that give you a sense of a higher-class society. While we were in Green Park we came across some interesting some things like a Stella McCartney window display, the scream gallery, butchers and the American embassy.

Camden TownCamden Town is always full of life and interesting people. Camden high street is has a lot of colourful tour-ist shops and tattoo parlours but the best part of Camden town in our oppinion is the Stables market were you can find everything from gas masks to cyber goth childrens cloth-ing. The nightlife in Camden town is also very vibrant as it holds one of the best life music bars in London

Brick LaneStreet art

To some Brick Lane is known as Banglatown because of the Bangladeshi-Sylheti com-munity that thrives there. However to us Brick Lane is the home of the artist. Filled with inspiring street art and galleries, Lounges, bars, coffee shops and the best bagels in London. The sunday market is one of the best places in London to find reasonably priced vintage clothing. The people and the fashion are the most inspiring aspects of Brick Lane, it’s just amazing how the street style can change just by turning the corner of a street.
