Alfama’s Charms and CornersThe Lisbon's oldest district, one of the most densely inhabited parts of Lisbon. It was inhabited in Roman times, and the Visigoths lived here too, but it was the Moors who left the biggest mark on the old district. Dive into our
ancestral roots through the labyrinthine streets and Alfama squares, look to the splendid c h u r c h e s a n d e n j o y t h e wonderful view of the Tagus River along the Miradouros. See the old ladies on the window, fell the
smell of the hanging laundry in the windows, drying in the wind, t a s t e a t r a d i t i o n a l d r i n k �Ginginha�. In the end you can always opt for a traditional lunch in one of the Alfama's taverns.
Through narrow and labyrinthine streets, stairs and tiny squares is the exquisite atmospheric Alfama.
