Ensure daily updating of the HSEQ System and electronic incident register for all reportable incidents; collect all relevant documentation for closing and audit purposes as well as get all relevant parties to sign off incident reports.

Assist, where relevant with the supply of information to SHEQ Controllers across the group.

Assist with the purchasing, receipt and distribution of PPE to the stevedores.

Manage all departmental training requirements as well as liaise with the HR department for the purchase orders.

Assist with the annual inductions for BPO, sub-contractors, service providers and 200 maritime students.

Ensure daily record keeping of documentation such as tool box talks, breathalyser testing and vessel audit inspection forms as per legal compliance.

Assist in the identification of safety purchases for Durban Stevedores for items such as PPE, bats and whistles, audits, spill kits and consumables; prepare documentation, quotes and pro-forma invoices for payment.

Control and schedule annual medicals; liaise with clinic staff for follow-up visits and retain confidential records.

Liaise with the maintenance department and follow-up on corrective actions on reported defects that may arise from monthly SHE Rep inspections.

Quality Management Systems: follow up on non- conformances and corrective action reports issued by the Management of Durban Stevedores; file relevant documentation and keep registers thereof.

Keep record of all completed training and ensure that the stevedores are issued with their certificates.

Ensure that the Sizabonke Safety Centre and the ablutions are kept neat and tidy at all times.

Assist in any ad-hoc duties that may arise for departmental functions.

Assist in the collection of supplier certifications before a QMS audit.

Assist in the workflow procedures for the departmental QMS audit. Liaise with Snr Labour Allocation Officer to bring labour in for internal investigations and disciplinary hearings.
