PRINT BOOKThis was one of my first projects at university. It was more of an experiment than anything.. I was issued a letter and number from my tutors which was ‘S’ and ‘3’, I had to base my book around those. I used a letterpress to print the text, printing on various papers. Then I hand bound the book together. using the four hole binding technique.

AnimationThis is also part of the Colours of Blackpool brief. The brief stated we had to produce an animation that was 15-30 seconds long, using any medium we wish. I decided to use Photoshop animation. The animation starts with a black and white image of Blackpool and as the van drives along it restores the colour of the photograph.

Typographic aRChitectureI had to choose a typographic term and visual show that term in form of a 3D structure or object. I chose the term typographical river. This is where, for example, in a book where the spaces between the words create what looks like a ‘river’ on the page. A decided to do a dramatic approach and create an actual river of type. I used plain white card to make this.

EMOTIONS 3DI was set a brief to chose an emotion and portray that motion visually in an 3D object. I was given a week for research and to chose my emo-tion, I chose fear/trapped. I researched in what people are most scared of and the results were trapped and buried alive. So I combined them both to help me produce my 3D object.
