My favourite place is Penang, Malaysia. I don’t have to go far to overseas

and yet in Malaysia, I found my favourite place.

For your information, George Town is rich in living heritage, culture and

history. Therefore, George Town is awarded as one of the UNESCO world

heritage site. I am attracted by the buildings which seem old, but they are one of

the attractions. Penang was ruled by British, so there are some of the British

buildings. This includes Fort Cornwallis, where Francis Light landed here. I have

the opportunity to capture a photo with cannons there.

I have the chance to visit the house of Francis Light. The building is

decorated well with the British culture and style. My family and I have a good and

comfortable high tea inside the house. It is extremely amazing. We also have a

walk outside the house. It is really peaceful with the green trees.

Besides, I like the wall painting, which is also known as Penang street art

In Georgetown. Besides, there are sculptures all around too. There is bicycle

renting service provided. So, you can see the tourists there cycle around the city.

I cycle according to the route map provided. I am impressed by the creativity of

the artists. I like the painting of Ernest Zacharevic 'Two Children on a Bicycle' at

Lebuh Armenian the most. I also pay a visit to the 3D gallery, Made In Penang. It

offers around 30 pieces giant 3D art pieces there, not only creative but also fun. I

also capture a photo with the most honourable Chief Minister of Penang, Mr.Lim

Guan Eng. Don’t get too surprised. It is one of the 3D paintings in the gallery.

I like the food in Penang although it might be a little spicy for me. “Asam

Laksa” in Penang is chosen as top 4 the most delicious food in the world. I have

a try of it and it really taste good. I gained a little weight after pay a visit to

Penang. I just can’t resist the temptation. Penang is truly a food paradise. I miss

“cendol, char kueh teow, Lok Lok, Loh Bak, Popiah” and many more other food.

For a shopaholic like me, I visit to Gurney Paragon, Queensbay Mall and

First avenue in Georgetown.
