History, awardsRammstein was founded in 1993 by Richard Kruspe. Its often called R+. Almost all songs are written by Till Lindemann. They call the kind of music which they play tanz metal. The band name comes from American airbase Ramstein Air Base, near Ramstein Miesenbach.Teledisc of Engel won German Echo award.
