I am 11 years old

I study at “The State Boarding

school for gifted children

named after A.P. Guzhwin”

in Astrakhan. And I am in the

6th form now.

I do a very exciting sport -

VOLLEYBALL

MY SPORT HEROThe person who inspired me to play

volleyball is my beloved mother. Her

name is Oksana. She started to

practice this fascinating sport since

she was ten years old. She played in

a friendly and close-knit team.

My mother had a wonderful trainer -

Sizranov Victor Vasilievich. He was

a really kind, fair and competent

trainer.

When I was a child I always went

with my mother to watch volleyball!

I enjoyed watching the training

process and I always wanted to

learn how to play volleyball and

participate in competitions.

Several times I went with my

mother to the competitions to other

cities such as

Anapa, Obninsk, Orenburg, Lasarev

skoye. I have always rooted for our

team and tried to learn something

new, watching others playing.

Now my mother works in a

company and in her free time in

the evenings she goes to

volleyball practice. Her company

often organizes games. My

mother always takes part in

them.

Sometimes my mother travels to

other cities to take part in

tournaments .

Now, following the example

of my mother, I started

playing volleyball. Three

times a week I go to practice,

and we learn applying the

pitch, doing attacker-kicks,

putting blocks, making rolls.

My team participated in

several tournaments and won

many prizes. It was very

interesting and exciting.
