and finding it hard to break into the industry fulltime
I decided to continued my studies and pursued a certificate IV in
Screen, Film and T.V at Randwick TAFE
During the course of my studies I landed an Internship with Filmotion Productions

So what did I do as a Production Coordinator you ask?

• Editing video and film using Premier Pro & Final Cut Pro software, Sound mixing in 5.1 of DVD
• Photo Shop, Power Point presentations• Camera set up and operation • Liaison with clients• Project management, Budgets• pre and post production task including
logistics and generating crew schedules
• Assist with live events, planning, receiving briefs
• Co director and assistant, Islamic Sounds of light concert, Australia in 2007 and 2008
• Produce and Directed a TVC

• Manage schedules, administration and as-runs reports • Harris Louth & DAL series automation software
operator • Data entry operating IBMS (Phoenix) • Liaised with internal departments (News, Promos,
Traffic, Sales and production) • Coordinate and ingest all media (Movie, programs, ads
& promos) on to sever base system • Trained all juniors in on air operations individual and
groups • Operational control of on-air TV transmission services • Perform pre-transmission verifications of all program
for on-air transmission • Operating VIZ to Create and verify crawls for
transmission • Coordinate live television content and amend play lists
accordingly • Monitor and resolve broadcasting issues • Adapt to and Manage deadlines in stressful
environments • Maintain quality control • Liaise with MCR, Editors, Producers, Directors and
Traffic internal & external stakeholders • VTR & EVS operation, record programs & promo feeds • Ingest/On Air Tapes Production • Thorough knowledge of Broadcast procedures

And due to the nature of working in a 24/7 environment my job became difficult to maintain and was no longer conducive with my young family life so I had to leave.
So what happen?
My life change for the better during the course of working at Nine I became a father twice
And so I started seeking a career that offered the work/life balance I was after.
And due to the nature of working in a 24/7 environment my job became difficult to maintain and was no longer conducive with my young family life so I had to leave.

• Maintain excellent customer service • Adhoc/ Data entry • Engaging with suppliers for B2B clients • Reporting & reconciliation of Capex• Invoicing and creating purchase orders • WH & S practices
Why leave this Job?
Well the truth being, my passion lies in TV production - it’s the roots of my career and were my story started. I am eager to return to the role that inspired me to pursue a career in TV broadcast. I have been waiting for a role like this to appear where I can return to the industry I love and within normal working hours.
