Career Cluster

Game Designer came out of the cluster Information Technology. If I wanted to be a game designer I had to ask myself the following questions:

Do I enjoy working with computers? Am I fascinated by technology? Am I a logical and mathematical learner?

for but many companies have you work with a team of designers.

• Graphic designers make about $20,000-$40,000 a year.

• Computer programmers make about $40,000-$70,000 a year.

• The highest paying job is computer programmer, but I would still rather be a game designer.

Backup Plan:• My backup plan would be to become a Computer

Programmer, because it is almost the same college and I would only have to go to school for one or two more years.

• Computer Programmers can make $20,000 more than game designers.

• My secondary backup plan would be to become a graphic designer but I would have to go through school again and I would make $40,000 less than a game designer.

Summary• My top three careers have close pay ranges and have almost

the same college classes and same degrees.
