Wyoming (USA), Bishop Bruce Caldwell.  Journeying God, travel with those who move from one place to another . Provide strength and courage and reminders of your presence. Lead people around the world to extend hospitality to immigrants and in so doing encounter sisters and brothers. Guide those who make and enforce immigraon policy to do so wisely and well. We pray in the name of Jesus, whose parents ed to Egypt to keep him safe. Amen. LITURGY NEW YEARS EVE, 7.30pm EUCHARIST There will be a Eucharist at 7.30pm on New Year’s Eve. It will mark the Feast of the Epiphany and serve as a Watch-N ight service. The Watch-Night provides an opportunity to reect on the year past and consider the year to come. There are no services on New Years Day . CYPRESS GARDENS NURSING HOME - CAROLS

Join us this Thursday 22 July at 1.30pm at Cypress Gardens Nursing Home (Coongan Ave

Greenmount) We will be singing Christmas Carols with the residents and sharing in the Eucharistas we do regularly. Our band of volunteers visits Cypress Gardens every second Thursday at

1.30pm. Please note that, aer next Thursday, our next service is Thursday 12 January.

CAROLING IN DARLINGTON - WEDNESDAY 21 at 7PM

Gather at 7.00pm in the grounds of St Cuthbert’s for a pracce, then set o for a walk around

the local area. Thanks to the Daniels’ for taking the iniave, and inving people back to their

place, 18 Dalry Rd, for coee aerwards.

SAFE RETURN FOR TALANOAS

Bishop David and Winnifred arrived safely at Kokoda on Saturday evening, having le Brisbaneaer a stopover. They experienced parcularly bad weather ying to Moresby and the next day

they had another rough ight to Popondea. The boys met them there with a four wheel drive

and they le the next morning. They didn’t arrive home ll seven that evening, the trip taking

twice as long as usual because of swollen rivers. They had to remove large stones washed down

across the track in river beds and had the water held back temporarily by a bulldozer blade at

one crossing. The trip took twice as long as usual. But they are now home safe and resng.

ROSTER ADVICE FORM - LAST CHANCE BEFORE CHRISTMASChurch Council has discussed our approach to creang rosters for hospitality tasks each Sunday.

In 2012 we will be ‘starng from scratch’ with our rosters . Inside the door to the Parish Centre

is a blue form. On it, you are asked to provide informaon about tasks you feel condent doing, those you

would be willing to try, your availability and so on. Please complete it and put it in the box provided.
