MUSICAL WARFARE

Today was the big clash between the Alliance (Iyara) and Krucial Konflict leader Deva Bratt.

Many persons were present for the biggest even of the year TI!". This confrontation was

all about the two artistes throwing insults at each other. Today is the day of the year and

#onald$ who is %y cousin$ called and as&ed 'ey boy yuh nah go sting* I said 'yea %an$

call %i when yuh ready o&*. +hen I arrived at the event everybody was en,oying the%selves

 by singing and dancing to the %usic being played. Things too& a dra%atic turn when a

vehicle playing a Iyara song had its windshield bro&en. By paying close attention and

listening I heard a teenager saying 'Krucial -onflict we seh$ no Alliance roun here*. It hurt

%i because de% coulda hurt di %an cause a di song hi% listening to. This negative type of

dancehall %usic is really influencing the people of this country and we need to do so%ething

about it soon before it gets out of hand.

A couple wee& after the clash between the two artistes the govern%ent finally

intervened by having a %eeting with the two dee,ays Deva Bratt and Iyara to try and pro%ote

 peace between the%selves. It did deh pon all tv and %i was glad to see di two a de% holding

hands and laughing. They even went as far as to tell the /a%aican people that they should not

 be destroying the%selves and that they will try and pro%ote clean$ up building %usic that will

e%power us. As /a%aicans we are all hoping that they will abide by their words and continue

on the right path$ but it sounds too good to be true so we will have to wait and see.
