The Purpose of a Music Video
A music video promotes a artists song as now most music videos now get shown on TV, YouTube etc… showing the music video for people to hear the
song to then make people buy the song to listen too. It also servers as a platform to attract people to the label. A Music video’s also give people a
better understanding of the song in a visual interoperation showing what the artist want people to see (if narrative). A music video is also to entertain the viewer just to provide enjoyment and pleasure and for the artist to show off
other talents they may have. A music video also gets more money due to music video costing more money than just a simple download of the song.
Some music videos are to promote a movie for example the bond films theme tunes are released before the film and show little clips of the film to try and promote that film and it also brings in the audience as it says bond theme tune it get more people to watch it. It creates a more memorable visual for
the view that just listening to the song.
