PERFORMANCE PROGRAM ENSEMBLES
The Department of Music’s Performance Program encompasses a wide range of
musical opportunities for talented musicians hailing from throughout the campus
and community. Membership is open to all who successfully complete the audition
process, including undergraduate and graduate students (regardless of field or
major), faculty, staff, and community members. The Performance Program includes
15 ensembles and programs — two orchestras; a wind ensemble; four choirs; two
jazz ensembles; early music ensemble; new music ensemble; world music groups;
and piano, vocal, and chamber music programs — which collectively present over
100 performances each season and involve more than 750 musicians! Performance
venues include Mandel Hall, Rockefeller Chapel, Fulton Recital Hall, and the Reva
and David Logan Center for the Arts. Performance ensemble concerts regularly
include special guest soloists, multi-arts collaborations, and world premieres, along
with both masterworks and unusual treasures of the repertoire.
