British Alpine skiing needs your help. The talent of our children and future Olympians is awesome. There are no limits to how far we can go or what we can achieve.      LASZLO POTH, Piano Laszlo Poth graduated from the George Enesco Conservatoire, Romania in 1981. Whilst in Romania, Laszlo performed solo piano recitals and played in various chamber music ensembles including the ‘Stephan Lory’ Piano Trio which received a Romanian national chamber music prize. In 1985, Laszlo took up a teaching position in England and continued playing in London and the provinces with Piano duet partners, accompanying singers and as the pianist with the’ Hampstead Piano Trio’ where Laszlo met his wife the violinist Gillian. In 1993 Laszlo completed a Masters Degree in Music and Ethnomusicology at Goldsmiths’ College, London, studying Hungarian Folk Music and specializing in playing the Gardon, which is a traditional Hungarian folk instrument. Besides his work as a pianist and piano teacher, he is also the organist at St. Edward’s Church, Golders Green, London. Laszlo is a keen winter sports enthusiast. He is an ex ski racer himself and is also the very proud father of GB ski racers Daniel and Robert Poth.

GEORGINA KELLEN, Soprano Georgina is a primary school teacher employed by the Ethnic Minority & Traveller Achievement Service in Cardiff, working with children who speak languages other than English at home. She is very involved in British skiing and spends most of her spare time running & organising training & race camps for Dragons Alpine Racing. In a previous life, after studying with Pamela Cook & then the tenor David Johnston at the Royal Northern College of Music, Georgina worked as a soprano performing in a variety of concerts, operas and oratorios. She worked with orchestras, choral societies and opera companies including Bilbao Symphony Orchestra, Welsh National Opera & ABBO The Basque region’s answer to Glyndebourne! It has been a very long time since Georgina sang professionally. During an unguarded moment in Bormio, Ingie asked her if she would sing at tonight’s concert and before her brain could say “Not on your life”, her mouth said “Of course, I’d love to!” Actually Georgina would like to thank Ingie for asking her as it has rekindled a love for singing that she hadn’t realised she missed so much.

INDIA MOYNIHAN, Mezzo Soprano India wasn’t quite born in the Alps but moved there as a very small baby. She represented Great Britain in several International Children’s races before hanging up her racing boots in 2013 to concentrate on her real passion – performing arts. India trained in an Italia Conti Associate School studying a variety of dance styles, singing and acting before being awarded a Performing Arts Scholarship to the internationally renowned Hurtwood House where she continues her training alongside her A-levels. She has recently discovered a love for anything with a Big Band, Jazz and of course Musical Theatre. India would like to thank Ingie for once again allowing her the opportunity to sing at Bentley with such a wonderful group of musicians to raise funds for British Alpine Racers.

Recent credits are: The Importance of being Earnest (Cecily); Flapper (Polly Pepper); Sleeping Beauty (Princess Rose); Great Expectations (Youth Music Theatre UK) Rose Theatre Kingston; Synergy, Italia Conti Associates; Chicago (Narrator/Jazz soloist), The Hurtwood Concert (Too Close for Comfort) ;Circus – Hurtwood House Musical Theatre Showcase (Send in the Clowns) ; The Caucasian Chalk Circle (Grusha/The Corporal) directed by Doug Quinn; The Gary Williams Christmas Album 2015 ; The Hurtwood Album (Fly me to the Moon)

PAULA BOYAGIS, Mezzo-soprano Paula grew up on skis- her parents met as members of the British Ski Team and her father, John was an Olympic skier who captained and trained the British, Army and Forces teams. Her sons, Kit and Angus Nisbet trained and raced with Kandahar and DHO, and Kit now holds the Kandahar record for the fastest Inferno downhill time. Paula progressed from Kandahar trainee to trainer, racing at international level both on snow and grass in the 70’s, winning the Scottish Juniors and British Universities (and the odd mogul competition). Recently she has been drawn back to racing in the Inferno, and has captained the Kandahar Ladies 2 team in the Interclub races since its inception in 2008. Paula studied music under Denis Matthews at Newcastle University and now teaches music and runs the choir at a local primary school. She performs regularly in opera, oratorio and cabaret as a singer, flautist and conductor with White Horse Opera in Devizes and other groups in the south-west. How better to spend an evening than at Bentley combining two great loves under Ingie’s wing! Roles include: Mrs. Pinkerton (Mme Butterfly), Curra (Force of Destiny),Theresa (La Sonambula), Cherubino (Marriage of Figaro), Ruth (Pirates of Penzance), Lucy Lockit (Beggar’s Opera), Kate (Kiss Me Kate), Mrs. Squeers (Smike). This year she has sung the alto solo in Rossini’s Petite Messe Solenelle, is touring as Count Orlovsky (Die Fledermaus), and performing Idamante (Idomeneo) in October.

Lewes is the ancient county town of East Sussex – the battle of Lewes was

fought here in 1264 - and lies within the South Downs National Park. This is an area of outstanding beauty; you can walk, cycle or horse ride along the South

Downs Way, enjoying traditional ales in an English country pub.

Bentley is 3 miles away from Glyndebourne, and the Touring Opera, which

starts at Glyndebourne before touring the country, takes place during the month of October. Don Pasquale and Die Entfürung aus dem Serail are on the menu and a visit to Bentley can be combined with a visit to Glyndebourne. Touring

Opera ticket-prices are within everyone’s reach.

Reservation As we can only seat 70 each evening, we ask you to buy tickets now
