MOJO• MOJO is a monthly, classic rock magazine.• It was first published on the 15th October 1993.• It inspired the making of two other music

magazines Blender and Uncut.• Launch Editor: Paul Du Noyer.• Present Editor-in-Chief: Phil Alexander• MOJO has its own award ceremony MOJO

Honours List.• Its first publisher was Emap, they very

successfully launched it but in January 2008, it was taken over by Bauer.

• In 2010, Bauer attempted to impose a new contract on photographers and writers, to remove their copyright and off-load liability for libel or copyright infringement from the publisher onto the contributor.

• MOJO, Kerrang! and Q, the magazines of Bauer, refused to work under these terms.

Top of the Pops• Top of the Pops is a monthly magazine.• It is aimed at young teen girls and includes

information about the charts and songs, gossip, posters, quizzes, song lyrics, beauty, fashion and so on.

• The magazine was made alongside the TV show but then when the TV show got cancelled in 2006, they still carried on publishing it.

• It is published by Immediate Media Company.• It was first launched in February 2005.• It used to come under the genre of a music

magazine but soon focused more on young girls and started to include less music and more of other things.

• Past editors: Peter Lorraine, Corinna Schaffer, Rosalie Snaith and current editor, Peter Hart.
