The circled images were the images that could possibly be used for my Magazine Cover. I thought these images could look professional as an image you would see on a magazine cover.
Masthead Design
Chosen Design I had to ideas for the name of my Magazine which were ‘The
Music Magazine’ and ‘Vocal Success‘ I chose Vocal Success and I created this as my final Logo Design, this Logo was created in Photoshop and I thought that it looked the most professional out of them all. I also believe that it looks like a Logo that would be seen on an Official Magazine.
Making The Front Cover
I used the Ellipse Tool to create a light effects for the corner of the magazine. I feathered the edge and used the eraser to help blend the light with the background. I used the Line tool to
separate text that will be added later.
Finished Background for Magazine
Added Barcode
I chose what I believed to be the best image for the cover of the magazine and began experimenting with different effects as well as using the healing tool to remove any unwanted smudges or marks. I then used the lasso tool to remove the original background and change it to a solid black colour. Upon removing the background I realised that there was not enough colour left in the image so I increased the saturation slightly to add more colour.
Healing tools used to remove unwanted marks
I used colour curves to change the levels of the
Image. I then looked through all of the fonts available to use on
my magazine cover.
