Research relevant fashion/styling associated with genre.

I chose Adam Levine as my inspiration for my style

because I think that is much more appropriate for a

typical pop music magazine. His style is very casual but

classy which makes a great combination for a music

magazine especially those that are targeted to the male

audience. He has a very unique style and he wears

different types of outfits that works with his genre: pop

music. He wears a vest and jeans to emphasise his

coolness as well as being informal since pop music has

most singers wear their own chosen attire. Another way he

inspires his fashion is his tattoos. I like the way he

shows them off to show that he has nothing to hide within

his personality and ego. In the picture, I like the

lighting beaming down in his direction because of the

tone it gives him. If I made any adjustments to my photos

once I have taken them, I could make it look similar to

this picture but with lots of colour to make it stand

out.

Looking at other examples of

pop fashion, I noticed that one

of the outfits look really

colourful and very new. This

will give me some ideas for a

particular outfit that I am

going to wear in my own

photoshoot.

Justin Timberlake wears a formal attire; he’s wearing a vest coat with a shirt and tie and he wears glasses to look smart. I quite like the idea of celebrities wearing simple, clean fashion in order to look representable towards their fans. It leads them to make their own impressions of them.

Pharrell Williams also wears a similar attire. This time, he wears a clashing polka dot blazer mixed with jeans to determine his type of style: semi-casual. This gives me the idea of another inspiration for my choice of style as he combines both to make himself look formal but informal at the same time.

My aim for this is to gain some ideas from the fashion of other pop singers. By doing this, I want to find out more about their latest fashion trends in pop music.

Now that I’ve decided on what style I should follow, I now need to decide on what accessories that I should add. I want to make sure that my style is not limited in just the outfit that I am going to wear. My intention is to find an accessory that defines the style that I am going for.

For my first accessory, I picked the aviator sunglasses to make my style all retro but also cool looking.
