Pop music is a kind of music where people sing and sometimes they maybe shout in Pop music. The instruments in Pop music include the guitar and drums. I like Pop music because I like the sound of the music, the style of it, the speed of the music, the topics that it’s about and the instruments that are used. Pop Music is my favourite genre and I would recommend it for music fans. I have always listened to Pop and I would listen to it. For example I think Supreme by Robbie Williams is a pop song.

Some Pop Singers

Pop Music became popular in the 1960’s- 70’s with ABBA, The Jackson 5 and Roy Orbison and they were entertaining the world. And then there were more and more Pop singers and bands. Michael Jackson took over the world after his role in the Jackson 5 by becoming a singer on his own and his songs were all good. He was then called the King of Pop. Now we have more Pop singers, more Pop bands and more people listening to Pop. On the next slide I will give you some information on some Pop singers.

Bruno Mars is a American singer who sings a lot genres and one of them is Pop. He started with his hit album Doo-Wops and Hooligans. Some awesome tracks on the album include The Lazy Song, Grenade and Just the Way you are. He was born in Hawaii but you know he is American because he lives in America.

Slim Dusty is Australia’s King of Country music. He started in 1946 when he wrote “When the Rain Tumbles Down in July”. He wrote that at the age of eighteen. Then after that he made song great songs including A Pub with No Beer, G’day G’day and Looking Forward Looking Back. He was working on his 106th album when he died in 2003. He also had his own movie on him. You are a Aussie hero Slim!!!!

These are some stuff that I didn’t know before this assignment. Slim Dusty was working on his 106th album when he died Bruno Mars was born in Hawaii Country music became popular in the 1890’s Slim Dusty started his career in 1946. Enrique Iglesias has won 16 Billboard Music Awards. Country music wasn’t as big until Slim Dusty came around.
