Research on Horror music

• Music is used to set the audiences mood and to make them feel certain emotions

• The music can also add elements such as suspense ( a dramatic effect ) – in horror films they will add deep, scary, sinister music so that the audience is waiting for something to happen

• The overal reason they decide to use music in films is that it increases the intensity and speed of the film which will make the film/scene scarier and more dramatic.
