Five Flames Slowly Burned Illuminating the Darkness

by their Light…

The ambience was so gentle that a soft whispering could be heard like a

melodious Heavenly Choir…

Then the flame of Peace went out completely.

The First Flame said:“I Am Peace”

“People’s Hearts are full of fear and anger … The flame started to dim… They are resentful and unforgiving so my flame cannot

burn bright.”

They will not repent in their hearts and accept forgiveness…

Then the flame of Joy went out completely.

The Second Flame said:“I Am Joy”

“People’s Hearts are full of fear and despair …The flame started

to dim… They are unthankful and disinterested so my flame

cannot burn bright.”

They will not repent in their HeartsAnd accept forgiveness…

Then the flame of Faith went out completely.

The Third Flame said:“I Am Faith”

“People’s Hearts are full of fear and doubt … The flame started to dim… They do not Trust and they are dishonest so my flame

cannot burn bright.”

They will not repent in their hearts and accept forgiveness…

Then the flame of Hope went out completely.

The Fourth Flame said:“I Am Hope”

“People’s Hearts are full of fear, apathy and cynicism…

The flame started to dim… They are lukewarm so my flame

cannot burn bright.”

They will not repent in their hearts

and accept forgiveness…

A Child entering the room saw the four unlit Candles and asked:

“Where are your flames?”

You’re supposed to burn bright until the end!

The Child became frightened and started to cry.

“When I Am burning Bright all the other Flames will burn bright too.”

The Fifth Flame answered: Do not Despair there is nothing to Fear;

“I Am Love”

With Joy in her eyes and Hope in her heart the Child took the flame of Love and lit all the other Candles…

.

Then Trusting in Love to keep them burning brightly she felt

at Peace.

The Five Flames Burned Brightly…

LoveFaith Hope Joy Peace

.

Peace which is established in Love brings assurance that what we Hope

for will happen.

Joy without Love is fleeting and offers no Hope...

Faith that comes from Love is needed to have Hope or there is no True foundation…

Hope without Love is meaningless because its

focus is not on Eternal Truths…

The Brightest Flame is Love…

Perfect Love Casts Out Fear…

PeaceJoy

..Joy is giving Thanks

in all Circumstances.

Peace is Trusting and Believing that all things will work

out for good.

LoveFaith Hope

.Now These Three Remain… .

Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

Hope is an anchor for the soul keeping it firm and secure.

The Greatest of These is Love…

Love Never fails.

Love without God’s Truth is worldly and shallow.

Wisdom and knowledge without Love is worldly, boastful and egocentric.

Truth without God’s Love is legalistic and worldly.

God is Love…
