“Murrieta Valley Unified School District’s school year calendar

has been reduced by three days and the last day of school

will be June 1st instead of June 6th.

This reduction in the school year will accommodate the budget

reduction days our employees have agreed to take this year to

help offset the loss of education funding we receive.

Middle school promotion dates have been rescheduled and you

will find the new promotion dates and a revised calendar on our

district website along with next year’s school year calendar.

Thank you for your understanding and support as we make

these adjustments in order to deal with the financial challenges

that come along with reduced educational funding in our

State.”

It was wonderful to see so many of you at our Open

House last night! As always, it was wonderful seeing

students showing off their classroom and school to their

parents, grandparents and friends. I would also like to

take this time to thank our PTC for their hard work

and time with our Silent Auction and Book Fair. The

baskets were great! Congratulations to the winners of

the baskets and a huge thank you to all the teachers

and those who contributed to make this event so spe-

cial!
