Established  in  1968,  Muralto  ZA  -­‐  a  family  owned  Cape  Town  centred  business  -­‐  is  one  of  the  foremost  contemporary  furniture  design  and  manufacturing  houses  in  South  Africa.  The  company  has  a  passion  for  excellence  in  product  design,  manufacture  and  customised  service,  focusing  on  delivering  a  first  class  customer  experience  before,  during  and  after  every  sale.  Our  hands  on  approach  is  aimed  at  meeting  the  design  needs  of  private  individuals,  interior  designers  and  architects.  

Since  1968  Swiss-­‐born  designer  Rene  Haas  has  created  a  unique  blueprint  of  his  own  from  the  contemporary  dining  chair  to  the  ultra  modern  Manolo  or  Ruben  Day-­‐Bed.  Rene  continues  to  use  his  imagination  and  experience  to  produce  beautiful  and  functional  objects.  The  company  he  founded  employs  a  highly  skilled  and  loyal  team  of  unionised  craftsmen  and  women  who  have  worked  and  developed  their  skills  with  Muralto  ZA  over  many  years.  With  the  increase  in  commissions  from  abroad  it  was  decided  by  European  based  family  members,  Jane  and  John  Buckley,  to  open  a  new  overseas  showroom  and  business  -­‐  Muralto  UK.  

Muralto  UK  with  its  showroom  in  Seymour  Place,  Portman  Village,  Central  London  is  able  to  offer  private  clients,  interior  designers  and  architects  a  full  range  of  Muralto  ZA  design  solutions  for  dining,  living  and  bedrooms.  In  addition  to  the  provision  of  an  

extensive  range  of  products  and  a  fully  bespoke  design  service  we  also  provide,  unique  to  the  UK,  a  selection  of  complementary  high  quality  accessories  including  art,  lighting,  mirrors  and  rugs  -­‐  all  of  which  are  sourced  from  a  number  of  local  and  international  partners.  

In  recognition  of  its  tradition  and  roots,  Muralto  UK  Ltd  is  an  (Associate)  Industry  Partner  member  of  the  British  Institute  of  Interior  Design.  Within  this  partnership  we  plan  to  encourage  young  designers  to  work  with  us  to  cultivate  their  talents  and  stimulate  the  introduction  of  new  and  innovative  designs.  

In  keeping  with  the  tradition  of  Muralto  ZA,  we  donate  each  year  a  percentage  of  our  revenues  to  a  number  of  South  African  Charities  and  Good  Causes.  These  donations  are  based  on  suggestions  made  by  the  Muralto  ZA  employees.
