GippsAero, the aircraft manufacturing division of Mahindra Aerospace, announced today that the 200th GA8 Airvan has rolled off the production line in the company’s Latrobe Valley manufacturing facility.
“This milestone is testimony to the efforts of the entire team at Gippsaero and Mahindra’s commitment to the business. despite the challenging environment in the global aviation industry . We hope we can create a significant presence for the Airvan family in the utility market ,” said Arvind Mehra, Executive Director and CEO of Mahindra Aerospace.
The 200th GA8 is a turbocharged Airvan, with a full-fuel payload as equipped of over 1,200 lbs (545 kg). It features a quick-change configuration interior and a rugged steel undercarriage, signature features of the aircraft designed to withstand the rugged demands of the Australian outback. All new Airvans come with a 5-year or 2,000 hour GippsAero limited warranty.

Piper Aircraft, Inc. has received Type Certificate (TC) approval from the Federal Aviation Administration to incorporate the Garmin G1000 avionics suite into new Piper Seneca, Seminole and Archer aircraft models for delivery beginning this year. With this latest TC, The Garmin G1000 is standard equipment on nearly all new Piper products.
“The G1000’s design brings enhanced levels of pilot situational awareness and simplicity to the Seminole cockpit,” said Piper President and CEO Simon Caldecott.
Garmin’s G1000 is a seamlessly integrated all-glass avionics panel that makes flight information easier to scan and process. The G1000 flight deck presents flight instrumentation, navigation, weather, terrain, traffic and engine data on large-format, high-resolution displays.
