Need more help with citing music?

There are many special issues related to writing about music: capitalizing names of stylistic periods, identifying

exact titles of musical works, naming notes and keys, and dealing with foreign terms are some of these.

Richard J. Wingell addresses many of these issues in his books:

Wingell, Richard J., and Silvia Herzog. Introduction to Research in Music. Upper Saddle River: Prentice Hall,

2001. Print. Available at the QEII Library: MT 1 W56 2001

Wingell, Richard J. Writing About Music: An Introductory Guide. 4th ed. Upper Saddle River: Pearson Prentice

Hall, 2009. Print. Available at the QEII Library & Music Resource Centre: ML 3797 W54 2009
