SCREENING WITHstarsScreening is a fundamental treatment stagein the processing of waste, recyclablesand biomass. Star screen technology isincreasingly used for the job, and in mostcases the screener is a Multistar. The reason is simple - one machine and one pass are sufficient to divide the material into two or three fractions. Thanks to the patented cleaning system cleanSTar, throughput and selectivity are high, even with moist material.

To change the particle size, the operatorjust presses a button – the machine doesthe rest. The electrical drive gives quiet,efficient and economical operation. Witha host of options, there is a configurationthat is ideal for virtually any applicationand system size. Magnet separation,wind sifting and separation of the rollingfraction make star screens multi-functionalworkhorses.

High throughput plus low operating costsequals the highest operating efficiency.The hopper, feed system, and design anddimensions of the screen decks combineto form a compact unit with virtuallyunbeatable throughput. effective wearprotection of all parts in contact withmaterial and an efficient diesel-electricdrive system ensure the lowest operatingcosts.

Particle size can be controlled by varyingthe rotation speed of the star shafts. in justseconds the particle size can be changedwithin the range provided by the star size,using the touchscreen graphic controlpanel. The different star dimensions andarrangements cover screening sectionsfrom 8-150 mm.

The screen units are continually cleanedby the simple and efficient patentedcleanSTar cleaning system. each star has a wear-resistant cleaning finger that clears the screen gap to the surrounding stars on each rotation, so screening is always in season with Multistar star screens.
