Digital Audio vs MIDI

In MIDI files you store not the sound itself but HOW TO PLAY the music. This means that the sound quality will depend on the computer (sound card synthesizer).

In Digital audio you record the sound itself and it hear the same in all computers.

MIDI files usually occupy less space than real audio files.
