Cognitivism Cognitive Learning Theory is an approach
to the study of learning that focuses on the thought processes that underlie learning.
It is sometimes called brain-based learning. Some major contributors were Jean Piaget,
Leslie Hart, David P. Ausubel, Jerome Bruner and Robert Gagné.
Cognitive Theory of Multimedia LearningOriginated by Richard E. Mayer
Based on 3 Assumptions:
Dual-Channel – for visual/pictorial and auditory/verbal processing
Limited Capacity – each channel has a limited capacity for processing
Active Processing – organizes selected information into coherent mental representations, integrated with prior knowledge.

COGNITIVE OVERLOAD!
Mini-Lecture Project Apply the theory of multimedia learning to
design and record a 5-7 slide mini-lecture presentation, using PowerPoint or Google Drive and present.me.
After publishing the finished video in present.me, post the URL in forum provided for this purpose, and embed the code in the designated area in Moodle.
