1. Case vi høster erfaringer fra (dokumentsstudier, intervjuer, befaringer)

1. Erfaringer: case som er «i front» innen enkelte områder, eller motsatt – der man kan lære av feil/manglende måloppnåelse etc.

2. Case vi aktivt tar en rolle i og følger, evt. påvirker gjennomføringen av (typisk pågående prosjekt der partnerne er involvert)

1. Følge-case: krever gjerne mer ressurser og må følge prosjektet over tid. Dette bør være case partnerne selv er aktive deltakere i, slik at forskningsarbeidet kan inngå som en naturlig del av daglige oppgaver – og være et positivt bidrag for partner og prosjektet. Tenk vinn-vinn!
