Initially established in 1986 as the International Students Degree Program (ISDP), Mahidol University International College (MUIC) was Thailand’s first international bachelor degree program at a public university with its mission to produce well-rounded graduates and to excel in broad international education research and academic services for the benefit of humankind.

MUIC maintains a strong liberal arts focus and promotes a learning culture that prepares its students to meet the challenges of living and working in a diverse and globalized world. The College further empowers its students by providing hands-on experience through its on-campus internship and training programs. Internships are readily available on and off campus both in Thailand and abroad. Students who do not intern are required to conduct a major senior project before graduation, enabling them to participate in the challenges of directed research.

Apart from the undergraduate degrees, MUIC offers two graduate programs, the Master of Business Administration in Business Modeling and Development and the Master of Management in International Hospitality Management, at its Graduate Center at Sathorn City Tower, conveniently located in the heart of Bangkok’s business district.

Mindful of its international character, MUIC operates a vibrant Study Abroad Program for both its outbound and inbound students. The College currently enjoys active exchange agreements with universities from North America, Europe, Australia and Asia, in addition to informal associations with universities and educational agencies from around the world. Our international full-time, visiting and exchange students constitute approximately 15 percent of the student population.

Given the challenges of our new world order, a well-rounded education can no longer be confined to the classroom setting. MUIC students are given a variety of opportunities to participate in national, regional and international conferences and competitions. In addition, the College provides a wide variety of student activities through the Student Association and its satellite of clubs in which they develop communication, leadership and team-building skills.I look forward to welcoming you to MUIC.

Education in a cross-cultural academic setting prepares college students to face the challenges of a diverse and globalized world. Foreign teachers comprise more than half of the faculty at MUIC. In the same vein, international students now comprise 15% of the College’s total student population. This rate can only be expected to rise. MUIC’s international students represent at least 45 countries from Asia, Oceania, North and South America, Europe and Africa.

Recognizing the benefits of extra-curricular activities, MU requires students to join at least one club, with membership recorded on their transcripts. With the College funding the clubs’ activities, the Student Association, whose officers are elected, perform supervisory tasks over each club.
