6 High Rise Hotel Towers (By Dubai Inn and Rove Hotel), Dubai, UAERole: Fire and Life Safety Engineer

The project comprises of 6 high rise hotel towers constructed within Oud Metha, Jafiliya, Zabeel, Al Wasl, Port Saeed, and Dubai Marina. Muhammad worked on six high rise hotel tower projects as an Associate Fire and Life Safety Consultant. His role involved participation with design team from the pre concept stage to the detailed design stage to ensure that the project complies with the applicable NFPA standards, UAE Fire and Life Safety Code of Practice 2011 and local requirements by Dubai Civil Defense. His involvement included review of design drawings featuring architectural design reviews, building construction requirements, active and passive fire protection requirements, and review of interior finish details for all six hotels. Muhammad was also responsible in liaison with the Dubai Civil Defense for approval of Fire and Life Safety Strategy.

Ibn Battuta Hotel, Dubai, UAERole: Fire and Life Safety Engineer

Part of the Ibn Battuta Mall expansion master plan, Ibn Battuta Hotel is a high rise hotel building that will have a restaurant, Costa coffee shop, swimming pool and gym. Ibn Battuta hotel has 372 rooms and is currently under construction on the west side of the mall overlooking Sheikh Zayed Road. The Hotel will have a direct pedestrian link to the mall and the Ibn Battuta Metro and bus stations. Muhammad worked on this project as an Associate Fire and Life Safety Consultant. His involvement in the project included review of architectural drawings against the prescriptive code requirements, providing design solutions to architectural team to meet compliance with the prescriptive code requirements, defining active and passive fire protection system requirements for the project, building construction and Compartmentation requirements, and liaising with the Dubai Civil Defense to obtain approval for the design.

JLT Tower, Dubai, UAERole: Fire and Life Safety Engineer JLT tower is a high rise mixed use residential tower with an over height of 200m and comprises of 4 basement levels. JLT tower shall be constructed in Al Thanya Fifth, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. JLT tower comprises of residential apartments, hotel guest rooms, all day dining restaurants, banquet halls, business centers and amenity services for residential apartments and hotel rooms. Muhammad is working on this project as an Associate Fire and Life Safety Engineer. His job involvement starts from the pre concept stage by providing correct design advices to the architectural team to finalize the key aspects of the structure. His involvement continues with the direct involvement in detailed review of architectural fire and life safety design, provisions of active and fire and life safety system, fire Compartmentation requirements, interior finish requirements, and liaison with the Dubai Civil Defense to obtain necessary approvals.
