Two weeks ago, my family was doing farm work. Jake was running

one tractor, and Weston was driving the other tractor. Randy

and I were running the combine.

We were driving down to the field and it wasn’t a gloomy day … yet. We got to the field and started to

cut corn down.

The sky was as dark as coal. The wind started blowing, and it

started sprinkling.

About two hours later it started pouring down rain. We had to stop

everything and try to get home soon but…

We tried to get out of the field. We got STUCK! Then, you heard Vroom… Vroom…. The combine

was trying to get out.

I had to walk home in the rain, get the truck and go back to the field to get the guys. We had the two tractors pulling, and we tried to

pull the combine out too.

The combine was buried in the mud. It took a lot of power. Mud was flying everywhere! It was so

much fun.

It felt like it took at least five million pulls to get the combine

out of the mud. We were covered from head to toe in mud.

Everyone was happy we got it out. It seemed like it took forever to get

out.

Finally, we are home. That was one experience I never want to be in

again, but I had a blast!
