Montabert Drifters

Page 37: MTI Equipment

37

Montabert Drifter Advantages

Advantages of the Montabert line of drifters can be found in four areas:

Efficient drifter operation.

Efficient drifter maintenance.

Improved operator environment. Increased drill consumable life.

Page 38: MTI Equipment

38

Montabert Drifter Advantages

• Efficient Drifter Operation– High penetration rate due to the piston’s shape. – Back energy is not transformed to heat due to

the shank dampening pro-active system and the energy recovery valve. (Two separate systems.) Less heat to the coupling.

Page 39: MTI Equipment

39

Montabert Drifter Advantages

• Efficient Drifter Less Maintenance– Lower levels of vibration transmitted to feed,

boom and carrier means less maintenance and longer life for these components.

– Longer drifter life than comparable models.

Page 40: MTI Equipment

40

Montabert Drifter Advantages

• Improved Operator Environment– Less noise than competitive models due to the

return energy being recuperated or transmitted to the ground and not dissipating as heat in the coupling as heat and noise.

Page 41: MTI Equipment

41

Montabert Drifter Advantages

Increased Drill Consumable Life. – Striker bars– Rods & couplings– Bits

SLIPPER DESIGN

•MTI designed and improved the slipper and cradle mounting arrangement. Slipper blocks are now bolted through the top of the cradle, this allows:•New style wear blocks, fully adjustable, longer life.•Wear pads are simple and easy to replace

Page 46: MTI Equipment

46

FEED AND WEAR BAR• MTI’S new light weight aluminum alloy structure with stainless

steel replaceable wear rails increases life of feed rail and guarantees increased performance.

• Universal right and left hand feed rail.

• Design of this new rail incorporates a change in the stainless steel rail slots. New improve design allows for easier maintenance. .

CABLE ATTACHMENTS

This new attachment arrangement, allows quick cable change.

No special tools required. Simple and easy to do.

MTI's first goal was to improve cable replacement. We designed a simple cable attachment that reduces downtime.

HOSE BULKHEAD

Our new bulk head c/w cable shock absorber allows for easy maintenance to tighten hoses or replace . Everything is has been designed with accessibility in mind.

RUBBER STINGER

MTI uses a rubber stinger that allows superior stinging to the face. The stinger allows for anchoring on uneven surfaces.
