Abstract (16 bold)

The style of this section is also paras. Please remembers the list of figures, table of

content and list of tables are automatically generated after the compilation of the thesis

(F9 is the short key to refresh all the fields). (12 Regular & justified)

The thesis format is a combination of text formatting, styling and numbering. It includes

active fields to handle certain functions. Please avoid blind copy-pasting. Pay attention to

the style bar at the top in home tab of MS WORD. The references are automatically

handled by a third-party software named Mendeley (or you can use the msword built-in

referencing tool). Citation of the references, figures, tables and chapter/section heads is

also automatic. Don’t not change it to manual numbering or citations. Some sample text,

chapter headings a table and figure for are present in this format for your ease. For the

other, you will have to learn how to use Styles in MS word. Each item has a particular

style and that has to be followed throughout the manuscript. For quarries contact me on

[email protected] .

For chapter heading use the style Heading 1

For section and subsection use heading 2 and so on.

Caption should be set in the style Caption1.

Here is a sample reference citation

Ref. [1], Reference [1] or simply [1] (please note that this citation is not just simple text it

is and active field)

The short keys to figure tables and equations can be made by saving them in proper

galleries and then making their customized ribbons.

1

Chapter 1. Use of headings and equation

numbering (20 Bold)

2

(All text is in Times New Roman, font size 12 regular & justified)

Notice a enter above this line. It is used to take us from style firstpara to paras.

1.1 A sample section heading (use the style heading 2) (14 Bold)This is a sample equation. The equation numbering is automatic. You can copy it and

paste it to a new line to get the next numbered equation. The proper way would be to

make a customized ribbon for it.

Lf (ξ )+Nf (ξ )+ Xf (ξ )=g (ξ ) . (1.1)

Here is another equation:

f (ξ)=∑i=0

m−1 A i

i !ξ i−∫

0

ξ

λ (ξ , χ ) ( g ( χ )−Nu ( χ )−Xu ( χ ) ) dχ ,(1.2)

In Eq. (1.2), m symbolizes the order of given differential equation.

1.2 Another sample section headingNow we make a sample subsection heading, to do that type any text in a new line and

apply the style heading 3.

1.2.1 This is a subsection heading (style heading 3)

3

Chapter 2. This is another chapter heading: use

the style Heading 1 (20 Bold)

4

The first para after the chapter heading holds the style first para. It forces the chapter

heading to be on a separate page.

2.1 Figure Style (14 Bold)

2.1.1 Single Figure (13 Bold)The following is a sample figure. It is places centered and the caption bears the style

Caption1. It can be cited as Figure 2.1.

Figure 2.1: Two-dimensional domain with expanding or contracting porous walls

2.1.2 Double FiguresIf you want to place two pictures side by side the following format should be followed

Figure 2.2: Effects of wall deformation rate on axial velocity in case of injection

Figure 2.3: Effects of wall deformation rete on axial velocity in case of suction

Copy paste the table, holding the above figures together, and then right click a picture to

change it. Again, the use of ribbons is recommended rather than simple pasting.

5

2.1.3 TablesThis is a sample table

Table 2.1: Comparison of numerical and VPM solutions forR=1.5, α=−0.5 , Λ=1.0 and M=0.5 .

The line spacing for the table is 1.0. For the other text go for style paras it has proper

formatting including the justification and line spacing.

In this chapter we present a format for bullet items in the following form:

First point goes here.

Another one goes here.
