Prepared by
1. Introduction
Malaysian Students’ Association in Japan (MSAJ)
Events and activities
In June or July, we participate in the ASEAN Festival, organized by the
ASEAN Youth Network in Japan (AYNJ), a network connecting ASEAN
student associations in Japan.
Established in 1976, MSAJ aims to connect and provide welfare to Malaysian students
studying in Japan. It brings Malaysia closer home to everyone. Membership to this association
is open to all Malaysian students studying or taking courses for more than SIX months in Japan.
MSAJ consist of 5 Divisions which are Kanto, Kansai, Tohoku, Hokuriku and
KYUMA(Kyusyu). MSAJ is managed and organized solely by students studying in Japan, mostly
on a voluntary basis.
MSAJ organizes many events and activities all year round. The fiscal year
starts with spring, with activities supporting the orientation of new JPA
students in March, Hanami (cherry-blossom viewing) in April, and Career
Fair in May (except 2011 ). In summer, we will have the Mount Fuji
Climb and Independence Day celebration.
As sports are very popular in autumn, we organize the MSAJ Sports
Festival and participate in the AYNJ Sports Festival. We usually hold a
Malaysian Night in winter, a night where we invite the public to know more
about Malaysia.

The objectives of the Career Fair are as such below.
1. To support Malaysian students in Japan in seeking employment opportunities
2. To widen the students’ exposure to the corporate sector
The Career Fair is a very important source of funds for MSAJ to cover expenses of our activities. We do not receive any
financial support from any other parties. All payments received by your participation are used to cover annual
