6 th Computer : Do Now – (5 minutes) “What rights do you have as a creator?”/Lesson – Introduction into Lesson “A Creator’s Right” – Pre-test (example on board); vocabulary; creation online rights; partner work-411 for Creators; Introduce the Truth about Happy Birthday; Introduction into Unit Test – guided notes study guide and study together for test/Shared Practice – Students will work on activities about creation rights and understand; share what you find out about creator’s rights on the internet/Assignment (Independent Practice) – Students will complete activity worksheets; students will take a quiz on creator’s rights (Due Today); Study for Unit Test with guided notes study guide (Test on Wednesday)/Closure – (Last 5 minutes of class) “Name one way you are going to honor the creator’s rights.”Objectives – Understand that copyright is a legal system that protects their rights to creative work; Compare different ways people license their copyrighted work; Create an original song, perform in front of the class, and reflect on their copyright for the song.

Be specific – write 2 paragraphs.”/Lesson – Review for Digital Citizenship Unit Test – partner study; Take Digital Citizenship Unit Test; Take Unit 3 Assessment on Common Sense Media Website; Introduce Research Project – Urban Legends (hand out research paper note taking sheet)/Shared Practice – Students will study for the unit test together with partners by them/Assignment (Independent Practice) – Students will complete Unit Test and Assessment Online (Due Today); Students will start research paper – researching activities/Closure – (Last 5 minutes of class) Discussion on what you found on Urban Legends with others around you.Objectives – Students will demonstrate knowledge and usage of Digital Citizenship skills; Demonstrate researching a particular subject
