HANEY’S KIDS a weekly look into the lives of the students of B116 Week Nineteen January 8th, 2016 What a way to start of the year 2016! Week 19 was filled with excitement. First, our grant equipment came in on Tuesday. Our classroom now has two MacBook Airs and two Blue Snowball Microphones! Second, we got two very special packages in the mail. Our Russian and Indian Pen-pals sent us Christmas Cards. Our Russian friends also sent us holiday candies: gum, chocolates, and sunflower seed bars. For academics, the students started our opinion writing unit. Also, they took the MIST informative practice test. In reading, the students capped oour first semester with a unit test. To end the week, the students met their new reading buddies. And finally, for the third week in a row, John Kirby was number 1 in the country in Ticket to Read!!!
