Is a New Zealand icon.

J Heaton Barker was the founder of the Four Square Stores

Mr Barker came up with the name while on the phone. As he was talking he drew a square around the number 4 on his calendar.

There are many products available on this New Zealand icon. Such items are tea towels, books, t shirts, aprons and even stamps. There are many more products you can buy.

In New Zealand there are over 300 stores nationwide. Some stores have a historical significance and one such store is the one in Russell. It is the only 19th Century trading store still doing its original purpose.
