MPI is an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited full-service scientific resource for polymer and materials science-related industries. Established in 1993 to grow high-tech industries, MPI serves as the industrial outreach arm of The University of Southern Mississippi.

3D PRINTING: OBJET CONNEX 350 TECHNOLOGY

One of the most advanced 3D printers in existence, the Objet Connex 350 is capable of printing parts with a wide range of properties, including rigid and flexible regions within the same part, as well as fully functional parts.

3D LASER SCANNING SERVICE

MPI’s MobileScan 3D scanner is one of the most accurate portable laser scanners on the market, and it is designed to capture data for parts or molds for re-engineering, CAD modification or first article inspection.

MPI’s CAD and engineering services are closely integrated with our laser scanning and 3D print services. Using Pro-Engineer software, MPI can create custom 3D files for your prototype or for use in prints and can then prototype the physical part.

MPI is located in The Accelerator, part of The University of Southern Mississippi’s Innovation and Commercialization park known as The Garden.

The Accelerator is an incubator for tech-based companies and products, combining laboratory and office space, a high-throughput formulation science laboratory and expertise in complete product development.

The Accelerator, in partnership with MPI, is the only technology incubator that offers the infrastructure and capabilities to develop a new advanced material technology under one roof. A novel concept can be invented, tested, manufactured and actually shipped from the facility’s doors to the customer.
