Brushes & Brush KitsThe unique spring activated ‘flick’ action of the M.P.F. Ceramic Brush, reshapes and contours the brush hair with one simple movement. This ‘flick’ action provides the perfect tip ready for application, time after time. The versatile, replaceable, ‘spring activated head’, allows the dental ceramist fantastic manoeuvrability. It’s patented ‘spring activated head’ makes it possible to use this brush in ways no other conventional brush has ever been used before. The ‘flick’ action also allows the dental ceramist greater ease when cleaning the brush tips. The ‘spring activated head’ makes cleaning effortless and helps to maintain the integrity of the brush. Simply apply gentle pressure to the head of the brush with your fore-finger by pushing it towards you and release the spring, it couldn’t be easier. This action expels the excess water from the brush, without wiping or handling the hair in any way, while at the same time, creating the finest point you have ever seen on a brush tip……..each time!

The M. P. F. Spring Activated Ceramic Brush handles are made from light weight aluminum. They are anodized in 6 contemporary colours, red, blue, black, chrome, gold and purple. We recently added a NEW SERIES of RESIN handles to our collection range. These resin handles are light weight, strikingly designed and available in 5 different colours, red, blue, green, black and orange.

Our unique ‘Replaceable Brush Tip System’ has the advantage over all other brush systems. Our handles are made to fit all size brush tips……..One Handle Fits All Brush Tip Sizes. This is due to the unique design of our screw on system, which attaches itself to the brush tip of your choice. Our series of 3 different sized replaceable brush tips...4, 6 and 8, are available in either the finest 100% male Siberian Kolinsky hair, or fine synthetic hair.

A very popular item in our catalogue is the 3 in 1 Brush Kit. This kit provides the ceramist with a complete set of three brush tips sizes with one versatile handle that fits all.

NB: We have also created the ‘Non Spring Activated’ ceramic brush range for the ceramist who does not desire the spring activated system. Now we have a brush for every technician!

The most important aspect of a good Stain brush is the quality of the hair and the sharpness of the tip. Our stain brush meets both these requirements. Our Stain brush is manufactured with the highest quality Kolinsky hair, creating a perfectly designed sharp brush tip.

Our M.P.F. Classic brushes are produced using the highest quality kolinsky hair. Inside these brush heads are several metallic beads, which act as a condenser when shaken. This action sends the moisture trapped within the brush head, directly to the brush tip, giving a very sharp point to work with. The handles are made from wood, varnished in a matt blue colour. The Classic brushes come in the traditional three sizes 4, 6 & 8.

My collaboration with the M.P.F. Brush Co this past year has given me the ability to create this new personalized product line. Utilizing light weight Aluminum and the purest Mahogony Wood, we have created some interesting dental ceramic hand tools. The Master brush kit gives you a range of brush shapes that are unique in design and excellent in hair quality. The Master Ceramic brush is made with the highest quality Siberian Kolinsky hair, my personal input into the design of the brush tip, is what I feel the dental ceramist needs most. A fine sharp kolinsky brush tip, with a strong belly of hair in the mid section for extra leverage, so that you can pick up any amount of ceramic material you need, but also the finest point for detailed anatomical applications eg. Occlusal Area. The fine Sharp point of the Master stain brush allows you to create the finest of details, the opaque brush with its cat tongue design gives you a nice sharp point ,but also the ability to apply larger portions of opaque when needed. The Contour brush and Occlusal brushes are made with a the finest of Synthetic hair , this hair is soft but yet firm, allowing the technician the ability to shape and contour detailed anatomy into the ceramic build up.

Master Brush Kit

The Master Carver again has been made utilizing the same materials Aluminum and Mahogany Wood, but also Surgical Stainless steel for the replaceable blades.I have designed four shapes which I feel cover all the needs for the dental ceramist .The Master Klip this set of tweezers has been designed to have enough grip on the finest veneers or all ceramic crowns, without causing any damage to your delicate pieces of work. The combination of Aluminum and Mahogany wood has been used also for the stands for both product lines, attention has been taken to the delicate size of the complete range ,so that the ceramist table is not over crowded with bulky instrument stands. A must for me was that all instruments had replaceable brush tips & replaceable blades , after our everyday grind, instruments sustain some wear & tear, so replacement parts are a must.

I hope that you find the Master Series fresh & innovative.

Sincerely,Nondas Vlachopoulos. CDT

Ceramic Brush Hydrator

Item order No: 035

This new innovative idea is a must for all dental ceramists. Kolinsky hair brushes tend to be difficult to moisten and prepare for build up, so we designed a water reservoir that suspends the brush without touching the sides or bottom of the vessel.

After five minutes of soaking, the water slowly permeates its way into the hair bundle, giving the perfect moisture level required for application.

NB: The hydrator is “not” to be used as an over night stand to suspend the brush. If the brush is left for a long period of time in water problems to the hair may occur. The water in the hydrator should be changed on a regular basis.

This Honeycomb Cr & Br ceramic firing tray is a ceramic based material which can withstand temperatures of up to 1500 degrees Celsius.

Brush Pool

The M.P.F Brush Pool was designed to complement the M.P.F spring activated brush system. This Unique design incorporates a water bowl, sponge and protective backboard all in the one unit. When dipping the brush into the bowl to clean, we must then flick the excess water from the brush, by performing this action, excess water is driven out of the brush head, which often creates a messy work space, now with the M.P.F Brush Pool, the excess water is contained against the backboard, preventing the excess water from creating a messy work bench.

The M.P.F Brush Pool is made from very durable plastic, and can be washed or steamed without any problem.

The M.PF Brush Pool has been designed to suit both left and right handed technicians!

Our agate spatula is made from raw Brazilian Agate Stone, shaped in such a way to assist the ceramist when mixing ceramic powder. The tail end of the spatula is also shaped at an angle, so small amounts of ceramic powder can be taken from bottles with ease.

NB: The agate spatula being a natural material may vary in colour.

Diamond PasteAgate Spatula

Item order No: 058

The M.P.F. diamond paste should be used after the ceramic, or composite surface has been treated with our fine rubber polishers, we then collect small amounts of paste onto a felt mop, and then at 8000-12000 rpm applying slight pressure, a high shine luster will appear.

Each Jar Contains 11gr of Diamond Paste.

PalettesPalettes are a tool utilized by the dental ceramist everyday and are a necessary accessory in the ceramic laboratory. As a tool, they must firstly be effective, simple to use and assist the technician to be productive. Secondly, they must be aesthetically pleasing; as it is likely the technician will be looking at it for a good part of the working day. With its combination of natural stone and the durable plastic base, the M. P. F. Ceramic Palette is very easy to work with. The simple ‘nylon palette work sheet’ allows the water from the base to permeate through the stone and naturally keep the ceramic mix constantly wet 24/7. The Paste Opaque and Stain Palettes have a very unique design style which makes access to the ceramic medium a breeze. The combination of ‘durable plastic base’, ‘sintered ceramic reservoirs’ and a ‘tightly sealing lid’ make these palettes an essential part of any busy laboratory, clean up is easy and it is just as easy setting up the next day.Our palettes are our number one selling items!

Ceramic Palette

M.P.F Brush Co introduces a new advancement for the discriminating ceramist. The new M.P.F. Ceramic Palette is the latest innovation from the M.P.F. Brush Co. The palette comes in a black case with an Italian marble stone, using capillary action to wet ceramic powders.

This unique Marble allows controlled amounts of water to permeate and wet the nylon worksheet, to allow uniform wetting of the ceramic. This will not allow over wetting of the ceramic material but provides the ceramist with a more consistent and workable ceramic mix. The nylon work sheet that covers the marble is kinder to Kolinsky brushes, like the M.P.F Spring Activated Kolinsky Brush and helps to keep a finer point for longer periods of time. The palette comes with 2 nylon work sheets that are durable and easy to clean.

We also supply a plastic Shade palette work sheet, located on the internal side of the clear plastic lid. This sheet enables the ceramist to record the specific shade used on the palette at the time of each build up, using a permanent marker pen, which can be simply wiped clean with white spirit in order to be reused.

Nylon palette worksheets are also sold seperately. Item order No: 032.

Palettes

"The new M.P.F Ceramic Palette is the latest innovation from the M.P.F. Brush Co..."

"The unique angled step type design, allows easy access to materials..."

Our latest innovation is a wonderful palette that offers a great solution for storing stain and paste opaque materials. Both palettes have the designated positions for each colour screen printed onto the plastic base so that the colours are kept in order.

The unique angled step type design, allows easy access to materials. The palette is constructed from durable plastic and the white reservoirs are made from glazed ceramic. The reservoirs have a very unique design to them, they are elongated towards the rear so that the material will flow to the back of the reservoir, this prevents any spillage.

The lid is made from a clear plastic and has been designed to create a tight seal around the black base, preventing too much oxygen entering the palette, which can cause the materials to dry out.

NB: When your palette is not in use always keep the lid closed, preventing the material from drying out and dust contamination.

Ceramic mixing cupDue to the shape of the ceramic cup, all the material flows to the back.

This range of Aluminum Oxide Abrasive Discs are of the highest quality in the market today. Our discs have the ability to work on all types of alloy, from Gold, to the hardest non precious alloys the market has to offer.

No metal is to hard for the M.P.F Aluminum Oxide Abrasive Disc, a must for the partial denture laboratory!

The 25mm disc is a work horse, it has the ability to cut units from the sprue, but also trim and prepare your metallic surface with very little pressure.

38mm disc are great for cutting units away from their sprue!

Due to the binder that we use to make our discs with, we have the ability to use our Discs in ways that are not conventional to the normal disc, left to right movements are no problem for the MPF Abrasive Disc, the binder allows us to have this flexibility, without breakage.

Thus making the durability of our discs second to none! Our super fine 0.2 - 0.25 disc gives us several options:1. We have the ability to cut and separate all types of dental ceramic, without it chipping and cracking the ceramic surface.

2. We can also cut off units from our High Noble content alloys with great ease, and with very little waste, due to the thin 0.2 disc size.

The GSSeries are a diamond impregnated rotary instrument of the highest quality, they boast a very high content of industrial diamond, bound together with a special ceramic binder. The GSSeries rotary instruments have extraordinary abrasive ability, they can cut through Zirconia with a minimal amount of pressure, this alleviates the chances of micro fractures within the Zirconia substructure.

GSSeries have the ability to cut all types of ceramic material with great ease, and due to the fine grain. Industrial diamond and special binder, the ceramic surface is left with a smooth, clean finish. Due to the composition of the diamond to binder ratio, the GSS Series boasts a very high service life, ergonomically it is by far the best solution for the ceramist today!

What is LED Lighting?

A Light Emitting Diode (LED) is a semiconductor device which converts electricity into light. LED lighting has been around since the 1960s, but is just now beginning to appear in the residential market for space lighting and also for office and laboratory use.

LEDs are better at placing light in a single direction than incandescent or fluorescent bulbs. Because of their directional output, they have unique design features that can be exploited by clever designs.

LED lights are more rugged and damage-resistant than compact fluorescents and incandescent bulbs. LED lights don’t flicker. This phenomena of flickering is the number one cause of many eye irritations, the LED lamps, do not have this problem.

LEDs do not produce heat like incandescent bulbs.

M.P.F Tech Light Specifications

1. The M.P.F Tech Light boasts 6 Super Power LED lamps, each lamp has a (3 watt Chip made in the USA).2. Operating Voltage: The M.P.F. Tech Light can be supplied with either 110 V or 220 V. In countries with 230V we strongly recommend the use of a Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR), in case of sudden surges of power. Extreme heat can cause damage to the LED lamps.

Pilot Light Maneuverability

The pilot light is a unique design, which is a must for dental laboratory work. This super LED lamp shoots out a very strong beam of light, this is essential for working in very tight dark areas such as the depths of very lengthy crowns, intricate attachment work, complicated implant screws and abutments. This light makes these problem areas look like “daylight”. The pilot light also has 180 degree maneuverability. It can be used either from the back of the housing or from the front.

Light Housing Ability

The complete housing can turn 180 degrees in both directions. This maneuverability makes in-house shade taking much easier.

N.B. Patient should wear protective glasses, as the super LED lamps are very strong.

Light Switch

The light has two separate switches. The top switch is for the pilot light and the bottom is for the 5 lamps located in the housing.
