2015 MASTER PLUMBERS & GASFITTERS ASSOCIATION OF WA AND ATCO GAS AUSTRALIA AWARDS FOR EXCELLENCE

The Master Plumbers & Gasfitters Association of WA (MPGA) and ATCO Gas Australia Awards for Excellence is an annual event initiated by the MPGA to recognise and reward outstanding achievements among registered plumbing and gasfitting contractors and manufacturers throughout Western Australia across a number of different categories.

The awards program provides all plumbers, gasfitters and manufacturers in Western Australia with the opportunity to showcase their skills and receive the rewards and recognition they deserve.

Success in the form of a winning entry in this competition means recognition of quality tradesmenship, exceptional business practice and an increased profile within the industry, creating valuable publicity opportunities.

Please carefully read all the requirements, category definitions and judging criteria for the Awards for Excellence as stated in this guide.

WHO CAN ENTER?

The Awards for Excellence is open to members and non-members of the Master Plumbers & Gasfitters Association of WA who are licensed with the Plumbers Licensing Board.

HOW IS MY ENTRY JUDGED?

Each entry will be viewed and judged by industry professionals.

A panel of judges assess all entrants in each category. One winner and two finalists will be selected. For further information, please refer to the individual category definitions.

All judges have demonstrated industry expertise, knowledge and are industry professionals.

WHAT ARE THE REWARDS?

• All winners will receive FREE publicity in a winners feature in a dedicated WA newspaper

• All winners will be promoted on the MPGA’s website – www.masterplumbers.asn.au

• All winners will feature in the MPGA’s Master Plumber WA magazine, circulated to a readership of approximately

2,500 people

• Winners are able to promote themselves as MPGA Awards for Excellence winners and will be provided with an

official winners logo to use for marketing purposes

• All entrants are invited to the gala dinner presentation

• All finalists receive a finalist certificate

• Extensive publicity gains include ongoing promotion throughout the year

HOW TO ENTER

Step 1: Complete the entry form on page 4, then simply email or fax to events contacts also listed on page 4.

This advice just lets us know that you wish to enter this category. Multiple categories may be entered on the same entry form!

Your entry must be received by 7 August 2015.

Step 2: Complete your submission according to the relevant criteria found on pages 6-20 and email, fax, post, hand deliver or submit online to the events contact as you did with your entry form.

Your completed submission must be received by 11 September 2015.

ENTRANT AND PROJECT ELIGIBILITY

1 Entrants must be licenced with the Plumbers Licensing Board.

2 Previous MPGA award winners are eligible to re-enter.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

3 Entries must be received on or before 5.00pm on Friday 7 August 2015. No late entries will be accepted.

4 All applicable sections of the entry form must be completed.

5 The same entrant may be entered into different categories on one entry form.

6 Judges reserve the right to decline to present an award in a particular category if a minimum standard of excellence has not been reached.

7 The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

PUBLICITY & WARRANTIES

8 The entrant warrants that the details of its entry are correct in every aspect.

9 The entrant grants to the MPGA and ATCO Gas Australia an irrevocable licence to use the subject matter of the entry and material included with or as a part of the entry for any purpose in connection with the promotion of the MPGA and the Awards for Excellence.

10 The entrant agrees to state the category received and the year awarded whenever disclosing information or promoting itself or the entry in any communication media, as a finalist or a winner of the Awards for Excellence.

We will perform compliance checks with the Plumbers Licensing Board to confirm that you comply with the regulatory requirements as a licensed plumbing contractor/tradesman.
