Mrs. Moye’s second graders2013-14

Abigail

It was one day before Thanksgiving and Diya wanted to eat a turkey. Abigail wanted to go to the Christmas tree store. Kennedy didn’t know what to do. We all went to the Christmas tree store . Then Kennedy knew what she wanted to do. She wanted to go to Santa’s workshop. Diya said we can't. Why? asked Abigail because Santa has to get everything settled for Christmas. When they were at the Christmas tree store Diya could smell Mrs. Claus cookies . Then we went to go over to nibble on the cookies. But wait said Kennedy we didn‘t find a turkey yet. I am sad that we didn't said Diya. What's that sound? Said Abigail. Look Santa!!! He is getting a tree. Look what he got. A Christmas tree turkey. Grab the turkey! No don’t said Kennedy! Santa will get scared. HO! HO! HO! don’t go said Diya. Santa said, who are you? AAAAAAAAH! I am Diya I just wanted to tell you that you have a turkey tree. Ho! I do AAAAAAAH! You are ok. All the friends went home without a turkey the end.

Ahmad

It was one day before Thanksgiving. Oh no I said we forgot a turkey. We have to go to the farm. Mrs. Moye saw something go fast on the way. Is that a Turkey said Eli. Mrs. Moye stopped the car we chased it. Can we take the turkey we said. The farmer said yes. Then it turned out to be a peacock. Then Eli saw another turkey. He ran with the peacock. He ran faster Eli, Mrs. Moye, and I got very tired. Then it disappeared. Mrs. Moye drove us back home. Then then we saw feathers. Than we ran in the back yard. We saw feathers all over the back yard. It’s a turkey. The turkey ran fast but we ran faster. Then we cached it. then we ate it.

Austin

One day me and Everett were at Chick Fila . What do you want? I say .Well I think kids meal number 4 with… he stopped and pointed. Both of our jaws dropped. A TURKEY! We said. A man was panting with white and black. The turkey ran and knocked over. It fell on him. Everett and we got a net. We chased him. He flew in the cow pastwer don don don! OH NO! We said Together we need to find him or her, said Everett. How do we do it?, I say we might eat a calf and we don’t like cow meat the end.

Chase

It was ten days before Thanksgiving. Chase, Tay, Ridge, Malachi and Jesus were playing kickball outside. Then, Jesus kicked it over the fence. I went to the woods to get my ball. When I went behind the fence I saw a high five turkey! Tay, Ridge, Malachi and Jesus came to look. I went to go get my net, bebe gun, and machete. Ridge got to use my bebe gun, I got to use my machete. Malachi and Jesus got to use my net. We went to the woods to catch the turkey so we could eat it for Thanksgiving. Then, Jesus and Malachi caught the turkey in the net. My dad cooked the turkey and we all ate it. Then, we went to get my kickball.

Diya

It was two days before Thanksgiving. I had to go to tennis and my friends Kennedy and Kalyn went to watch me play. There was a rainbow at the tennis courts. Our family needed a turkey for Thanksgiving dinner. We looked in the woods and we looked at school. Me, Kennedy and Kalyn looked at the tennis courts and we found rainbow feathers all over the court. We found a beautiful turkey for Thanksgiving and now we all went to my house to eat it. Happy Thanksgiving!

Eli

It was the middle of the night when I saw a fat turkey. I saw it when I was sitting down and when the Hearts scored a goal. It was hiding from a hunter. The game was over. When we left the court, the turkey got in my car and road with us home. When I got in my house, it was in my bed. It was a basketball turkey and I screamed! I got out of my bed. As it was morning my mom and my dad and my sister were very happy because I caught one. When it was lunch, we did not eat it so we let it eat with us. He was our friend so we had ice cream.

Everett

Once upon a time Everett and his friends walked in the woods. They were hunting a turkey. They had a bb gun and a net. Suddenly they head a gobble gobble and they jumped and… They saw a camoflauge turkey. They tried to catch the turkey but the turkey was to fast. We were running like crazy. We were about to catch it but… It ran up a tree. We almost caught the turkey but jumped into another tree. Finally we caught it and we had it for thanksgiving. The End.

Harmony H.

Once upon a time I was going to hunt a turkey for Thanksgiving in the woods and I thought I saw one. Then, I saw my class and they said, “Can I come?” Next we all saw 13,000 turkeys and everyone caught a turkey. Then we caught some more and even more. Soon we all went back to find a cabin but we got lost. We all cried for our mommies. Then we heard “gobble” and we said, “Huh, is that you mama? Please come get us. I’ll do anything for you.” Then Mrs. Moye said, “No more crying kids!” She took out her phone and said, “We are almost there.” Finally we made it, and everybody said, “We’re hungry!” We ran into My’love and Cortavis and they said, “We are too.” Soon Tay asked, “Can we come in?” Then Alyssa said, “Why are you acting so crazy?” Ahmad said, “What is wrong with you guys?” Mrs. Moye said, “Don’t be silly. I’m dropping you off at home.” My’love said, “I love you.” At 5:00 PM everybody got home and the kids gave the turkey to their parents to cook and called the family. I ate collards, peas, corn, turkey, mashed potatoes, fruit salad, and dessert last.

Jaylen

It was one day before Thanksgiving. We did not have a turkey. At a football game one time there was a turkey. Me, Jesus and Mrs. Moye got scared but we knew it was just a turkey. We went home really fast and got some things to catch a turkey. We caught the turkey. We walked carefully home so we wouldn't drop the turkey. When we got home we put the turkey in a cage. Then we went to the store and brought some chicken for Thanksgiving. We went back home and got out the grill. We let the turkey out of the cage and we did not eat the turkey. We let the turkey sit with us and we ate together. The end .

Jesus

Mr. Jesus, Mrs. Carla and Jesus went to the woods to find a turkey. We saw something move in the woods. We went to see what it was. I went to look and a turkey popped out of the bush and it went gobble gobble, gobble at me and then jumped and pecked me. The turkey started to chase me. It was running very fast. I ran into the tree. The turkey laid an egg on me. The egg cracked. The turkey slapped me in the face with his wing. Then he pecked me another time. Then, he used the! Bathroom on me! Then I grabbed the turkey and brought the turkey home. And the turkey ran all the way to my mom’s room.

Kalyn

Me, my mom, my sister, Kiley and Kennedy were getting ready to go to a football game. When we got to the football game we had to wait in line for an hour to get into the stadium. When we got inside we saw a person with a gun. Me, Kiley, Kara, Kennedy and my mom started to scream and then something grabbed my leg! It looked like a football turkey. I grabbed the turkey and I told him there was a hunter chasing us. He wants a turkey to eat for Thanksgiving dinner. I grabbed the turkey and started to run again. The turkey and I got into the car and my mom drove us home. I took him to my house to hide from the hunter until Thanksgiving was over. When we got to my house we let the turkey hide in the trunk of the car. Then at 2:00pm we got back into the car and drove back to the football game. The Pirates won the game!

Kennedy

Me, Kalyn and Kiley were walking in my house and we heard ‘’gobble,’’ ‘’gobble’’ and we jumped up and down three times. We were scared, but we had a flash light. We decided to keep walking and the farther we went the more sound we heard. Then, we hit something. It was an ECU turkey! We had no idea what it was when we saw it. When we got to the top of the stairs; we heard BOOM! It was just the TV. but then we heard gobble and we went to the attic and we got the turkey. We ran outside and we caught her for thanksgiving dinner. The turkey was wearing a wig.

Kiley

Our story takes place at Americas Got Talent. Kalyn is hunting a turkey for Thanksgiving. She saw a big turkey in the woods. The turkey Ms. Moye decided to hide from Kalyn. Ms. Moye ran off into the dressing room for people that were dressing up to get on stage. The turkey came in and everyone ran off. When everyone ran off clothes fell on Ms. Moye. Ms. Ms. Moye went on stage. She was singing and dancing. Kalyn ran into Americas Got Talent. She sat down to watch the show. She did not know there was a turkey on stage. She thought it was a person. Ms. Moye did not get shot for Thanksgiving.

Malachi

I went to a football game tonight. I was playing football. We were the Oregon Ducks. I was number six . I hear a sound and it says, “Gobble, gobble.” The turkey was on the football field. West was excited about that turkey. West got out of the football team and he chased the turkey. Malachi says, “No!”

Now chase straight to chase turkey I say no. than rgie was chaseing the turkey. Malachi and rgie and west we play football. Jaln was stellchase the turkey he trade to eat the turkey and he eated and he say that is good.all of us play football and we af a good Time.

Meadow

There were three houses. I was in the middle. It was Thanksgiving morning I was helping set up the table. Me and my dad went to go get a turkey for thanksgiveing. We got our coats on. We went to go get a turkey. We walked until Eli came along IS it dinner time all we have to get is turkey . Then chase came along. Is it dinner time . No we got have to get a turkey. There’s a nest down by the riverbank. Ridge came along . Is it dinner time? No we need to get a turkey. We got to the turkey for Thanksgiving morning

My’love

Mrs. Moye, Tay, and I, was walking in the woods. We heard something and it went like BOCK BOOCK BOOOOCK and Tay ran away and got lost and I was brave and Mrs .Moye tried to find Tay and Mrs. Moye got lost and I was the only one Tay saw a turkey and Mrs. Moye find him and she soy the turcek and T said omg you got the turkey said Tay yes said my’love good said Mrs.Moye we are safe said Tay now we can go home oh no that turkey is a fat rainbow said Tay I like rainbows said Mr.moye so as I said my’love I like rainbow a little bit said Tay so are you gonne eat me no said my’love we gonne eat water mealen and good so we all eat fruit good I love water mealen said Tay and we lived happily ever after the end

Ridge

Once upon a time me and Eil, Chase and Everett were playing a Gest the Tigers we bearly won because the score was 12 to 11 and we played in the Sumer time and we won all those games then Ridge the turkey hit a homerun and Chase the turkey was at the very end of the fense and it hit hem in the mouth and he cried mom Mom daddy daddy help me and he sad to hes mom my mouth hurses and then Chase the turkey was up to hit and I was at the end of the fenes and he hit me in the mouth and then I cried Mom Mom daddy daddy my mouth hures to.

Tay

Once upon a time there were three people named Tay, Ridge, and My’love. They were doing a project in class. Tay said, “Im ready to go outside” The teacher said its time to go! Great said Tay. They got on the swing and two minutes later Tay was really hot. Tay said lets go sit down. What’s that?, said Ridge let’s go see it. No way I'm not going said My’love because I don’t like them. Let’s get closer it’s a MONSTER! said My’love . The turkey ran away she is a scaredy cat. Look at that turkey !’’said the teacher. That’s a big turkey. Where? said Tay over by the rainbow.

West

Once upon a time the Broadways went in the woods and a turkey was saying “I have orange feet.’’ Then West jumped on him. In Hollywood the turkey felt tired and he fell down to sleep. Then, West’s dad shot him for Thanksgiving dinner . But the turkey got up and started to run. He ran all the way back to Hollywood and became a star!
