About Lumos

Lumos is a children’s charity set up by JKRowling who wrote the Harry Potter books.

We work in many different countries acrossthe world. We are helping governments toclose their large institutions and set up betterservices which help children and their families.

Lumos thinks that it is very important that children understand and have a say about the changes that will happen to them duringthe time the institution is closing.

We have written this book for children to helpthem prepare for moving out of their institutionand into their new homes.
