Traditional lighting technologies require paid maintenance staff for regular replacement. The long life of MOVI™ light fittings ensures that the maintenance costs are negligible. Up to 5 traditional lamps would need to be replaced every 50,000 hours in comparison to 1 MOVI™ luminaire.

PRODUCT FEATURES

For traditional light sources, lifetime is reported as the time it takes for

50 percent of the lamps to fail completely. With an LED source, the

light output reduces over a period of time. The LED is said to reach

the end of its useful life once its light output falls below 70 percent of

the original level.

At the time when 50 percent of the CMH-TC lamps have failed,

the MOVI™ will still be delivering more than 90 percent of the initial

MOVI™ produces a significant amount of light using minimal energy,

which makes it highly efficient.

Highly efficient COB LED module, aluminium base results in very low

thermal resistance between heat sink and LED die junction to aid

thermal management and lifetime of product. The Colour Rendering

Index, or CRI, is greater than 80.

MOVI™’s highly efficient aluminium reflectors minimise optical

losses while managing the light distribution from the LED. The

result closely matches the current CMH-TC reflector range from

Microlights. It’s an entire family designed to work together to suit

a variety of applications. The narrow, medium and wide reflectors

are easily interchangeable with additional accessories that are easily

mounted to the front of the product. These include coloured glass,

honeycomb, narrowing lens, and asymmetric diffusers.

lumens. To maintain accent lighting levels in the store, the CMH-TC

lamps will be changed before the majority fail. Assuming CMH-TC

lamp replacement at 10,000 hours there would be five lamp changes

by the time the LED reaches 50,000 hours. At 10,000 hours the

CMH-TC lamp would be letting out 60 percent of its initial lumens.

70W Ceramic Metal Halide fitting. Understanding that the aesthetic

effects are equal, a payback period of 1.5 years can be calculated.

the UK. These products have been fully tested with our in-house

testing facilities to ensure thermal targets are achieved.

A 5 year warranty ensures that from the date of purchase, support

is offered, covering luminaire failure due to manufacturing or

LEDs instantaneously start when turned on. Particularly useful

should there be a power interruption on site.

The latest thermal simulation software was used to develop and

optimise an active cooling system consisting of a die cast aluminium

heat sink and axial fan. This ensures the LED package is cooled

sufficiently to deliver the high lumen maintenance figures, colour

consistency, CRI and reliability. All components in the MOVI™

have been carefully chosen to deliver maximum performance. For

instance, while the operating life of the fan exceeds 80K hours, its

sound level is less than 12.8dB, making it quieter than a whisper.

The lumen levels chosen for MOVI™ have been carefully targeted

through array and driver selection, as well as optimisation of the

cooling system. These levels have been selected to best match

and exceed the current 35W CMH-TC products in total luminous

flux. Bespoke reflector design ensures features such as the “Retail

Hot Spot” have been incorporated. This makes MOVI™ a true

replacement for the CMH-TC HID 35W, at 12.5W less Total Circuit

Watts, with an outstanding overall efficiency figure of 96 luminaire

lumens per TCW.
