− Attachment to actuators according to IEC 60534-6(NAMURrib)
− AttachmenttoType 3510Micro-flowValve
− AttachmentaccordingtoVDI/VDE 3845to rotary actuators
5.1 Mounting positionAny mounting position may be used. The fol-lowingappliesconcerningtheinstallation:
Î Install the limit switch in such a way that theM20x1.5cableglandfacesdown-ward (in cases where this is not possible, mountitinthehorizontalposition).
Î Onmounting,makesurethat300 mmormore clearance is kept above the enclo-sure cover.
5.2 Lever and pin position
Risk of malfunction due to incorrect mount-ing parts/accessories or incorrect assign-ment of lever and pin position.Only use mounting parts/accessories listed in these mounting and operating instructions to mount the limit switch. Observe the type of attachment.Observe the assignment between lever and pin position.
The limit switch is adapted to the actuator and to the rated travel by the lever on the back of the limit switch and the pin inserted into the lever. The travel tables on page 15 show the maximumadjustmentrangeatthelimitswitch. The travel that can be implemented at the valve is additionally restricted by the selected fail-safe position and the required compression of the actuator springs. The limit switch is equipped with an M lever (pin position 35) as standard.

5.4 Direct attachment to Type 3277 and Type 3277-5 Actuators
1. Place follower clamp (4) on the actuator stem, align it and screw tight so that the fastening screw (3) is located in the groove of the actuator stem.
2. Fasten the mounting plate (1) onto the actuator yoke using both fastening screws (2).
3. Dependingontheactuatorsizeandrat-ed valve travel, determine which position of the follower pin is to be used from the traveltableonpage 15.Thelimitswitch is delivered with the M lever in pin position 35. If necessary, remove the fol-lower pin from its pin position and move it to the hole for the recommended pin position and screw tight.
4. Place the limit switch onto the mounting plate so that the follower pin rests on the top of the follower clamp (4). It must rest on it with spring force. Fasten the limit switch onto the actuator yoke using the four fastening screws (5).
5. Mount cover (6) on the other side. Make sure that the vent plug faces downward (in cases where this is not possible, mountitinthehorizontalposition)whenthe control valve is installed to allow any condensed water that collects to drain off.
6. ForType 3277LinearActuatorswith"actuator stem retracts" fail-safe action, screwaventplug(7)intotheconnectionat the side of the yoke.

6 Electrical connections
For electrical installation, observe the rele-vant electrotechnical regulations and the ac-cident prevention regulations that apply in the country of use. In Germany, these are the VDE regulations and the accident pre-vention regulations of the employers’ liability insurance. The degree of protection IEC 60529: 1989 is only guaranteed when the enclosure cover is mounted and the connections have been properly mounted. The following regulations apply to installa-tion in hazardous areas: EN 60079-14 (VDE 0165, Part 1) Explosive Atmospheres – Electrical Installations Design, Selection and Erection.
6.1 Electrical connection for type of protection Ex d
Loss of the explosion protection due to dam-age to the cover's thread and/or the con-necting thread.Do not open devices with flameproof enclo-sures when the electrical power supply is connected.
Connectthedevicesusingsuitablecableen-tries or conduit systems that comply with EN 60079-1ExplosiveAtmospheres –Part 1:EquipmentProtectionbyFlameproof
Enclosures "d",Clauses 13.1and 13.2andforwhichaseparatetestcertificateisavail-able. Do not use cable glands and blanking plugs of simple construction.Install the connecting cable properly so that it is protected against mechanical damage. If thetemperatureattheinletpartsexceeds70 °C,useatemperature-resistantconnect-ing cable.Include the devices in the on-site equipoten-tial bonding system.
6.2 Electrical connection for type of protection Ex ia
Incorrect electrical connection will render the explosion protection unsafe.Adhere to the terminal assignment.Do not undo the enameled screws in or on the housing.Do not exceed the maximum permissible val-ues specified in the EU type examination cer-tificates when interconnecting intrinsically safe electrical equipment (Ui or U0, li or I0, Pi or P0, Ci or C0 and Li or L0).
Observeclause 12ofEN 60079-14:2008(VDE 0165,Part 1)forinstallationofthein-trinsically safe circuits.Clause 12.2.2.7applieswhenrunningmulti-core cables and wires with more than one intrinsically safe circuit. The radial thickness of the insulation of a conductor for common insulating materials (e.g. polyethylene) must not be smaller than
